Peter and John were arrested for “teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead”. (Acts 4:2)
Standing before the rulers, elders, and scribes in Jerusalem along with Annas, the high priest and John and Alexander, and all who were of priestly descent, they were asked, “By what power, or in what name, have you done this?” (Acts 4:5-7)
Then Peter was “filled with the Holy Spirit, and said to them,” (Acts 4:8)
“Let it be known to all of you . . . that in the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead — in Him alone is salvation; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
(Acts 4:10,12)
🌹Even before, the “Powers that be”, Peter and John were confident to share the gospel, to proclaim Jesus Christ. This boldness to share came through the power of the Holy Spirit that resides in all born again Christians. Are we relying on the Holy Spirit’s power for the boldness to share the gospel?
Continually Seeking Him,
