Gladness of Heart

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Lovingkindness and truth go before You.
How blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! O Lord, they walk in the light of Your countenance.
In Your name they rejoice all the day, And by Your righteousness they are exalted.
For You are the glory of their strength, And by Your favor our horn is exalted.
Psalms 89:14‭-‬17 NASB

Are you walking on the solid foundation of God’s righteousnes and justice, enjoying His lovingkindness and truth resonating in and through you?
Our walk with Almighty God is not for “a moment”. A moment of our need. A moment when we are suffering or in despair. Our walk with God is for all the moments, momentS that continue into eternity.
God, how blessed are we who walk in the light of Your countenance and rejoice in Your name ALL day long. It is by Your righteousness alone that we are exalted, for we have no righteousness of our own. You, Lord God, are the glory of our strength. By Your favor we are filled with joy that overflows to others.

🌹With trumpets and the sound of the horn Shout joyfully before the King, the Lord.
Psalms 98:6 NASB

Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the Lord be glad.
Psalms 105:3 NASB

Praise Him in the morning.

Deuteronomy 31:6 NASB

And to Him (Jesus) was given dominion, Glory and a kingdom, That all the peoples, nations and men of every language Might serve Him. But the saints of the Highest One will receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, for all ages to come.’

Choose Life

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants,
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants,
by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
Deuteronomy 30:18-‬20 NASB

What is life? Loving the Lord God, obeying His voice, holdings fast to Him. This is life with the promise of the promised land awaiting us. Life and length of days are found only in Jesus.

Same God

“So all these curses shall come on you and pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you would not obey the Lord your God by keeping His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you. They shall become a sign and a wonder on you and your descendants forever.
“Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and a glad heart, for the abundance of all things; therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in the lack of all things; and He will put an iron yoke on your neck until He has destroyed you. “If you are not careful to observe all the words of this law which are written in this book, to fear this honored and awesome name, the Lord your God, then the Lord will bring extraordinary plagues on you and your descendants, even severe and lasting plagues, and miserable and chronic sicknesses.
Also every sickness and every plague which, not written in the book of this law, the Lord will bring on you until you are destroyed. Then you shall be left few in number, whereas you were as numerous as the stars of heaven, because you did not obey the Lord your God.
Deuteronomy 28:45‭-‬48‭, ‬58‭-‬59‭, ‬61‭-‬62 NASB

🌹Salvation through Jesus Christ in the New Testament does not nullify the Old Testament.
