Better Than Life

Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.
Psalms 63:3‭-‬4 NASB

🌹God is good! There is a friend of mine who wrote what she was thankful for everyday for a year. What a wonderful way to praise God and keep our focus on Him. Maybe 2022 will be a year of thankful praise in our lives.

Do you make New Year’s Resolutions?

In past years I have made them, many, and usually fail at them before February ever rolls around. Have you been there?

My 2021 Resolution was: To live my life content in Jesus because He is sufficient, all I need, enough.

God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.
But of the Son He says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, And the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness above Your companions.” And, “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of Your hands; They will perish, but You remain; And they all will become old like a garment, And like a mantle You will roll them up; Like a garment they will also be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end.”
Hebrews 1:1‭-‬4‭, ‬8‭-‬12 NASB

There were many challenges, much to be learned about myself and about God, and some victories. God truly is sufficient, everything I need but this is a resolution I will continue to work on in the years to come as I surrender more and more of my will to His will.

🌹I will continue to strive in my belief that God truly is sufficient because He is.

Forever I Will Praise!

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.
1 Chronicles 29:11 NASB

And every created thing (that includes you and me) which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.”
Revelation 5:13 NASB

🌹 To God be all the greatness, power and glory forever!!

The Judge

If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth; knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
1 Peter 1:17‭-‬19 NASB

Life is more than the imperishable treasures of this earth. Life is Jesus Christ, Him alone. If you are a Christian, you were bought with the precious blood of Christ. Are you living with, for, in Christ to bring glory to God and gain the imperishable gift of being in the glorious presence of God for eternity? OR are you living the perishable life?

🌹God the Father will be the judge.
