The Gospel Truth

I considered my ways And turned my feet to Your testimonies. I hastened and did not delay To keep Your commandments.
Psalms 119:59‭-‬60 NASB

When the eyes of the heart are opened we realize how much we need the instruction of the Lord. God’s word is our instruction. The gospel, Jesus Christ, who sacrificed His life that you may know and trust Him; be forgiven of sin and walk with Him from the time of conversion into eternity.

🌹Are you being instructed by the Bible to keep the commandments of the Lord God?

Peter’s eyes were opened. Mark 14:72
The prodigal son’s eyes were opened. Luke 15:17

Until I Declare

My mouth is filled with Your praise And with Your glory all day long.
Psalms 71:8‭ NASB

Do you ever experience this Psalmist’s elation? Does it last all day long? Is your everyday life filled with praise to God? As you meditate (think on) all that God has done for you, what is your response to God and what are you motivated to do? Hopefully it is to do as this psalmist did. . .

And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come. For Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the heavens, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You?
Psalms 71:18-19 NASB

🌹Praise God for His righteousness and the great things He has done!!! I will declare!

Hope or Forsaken

For You are my hope;
O Lord God, You are my confidence from my youth.
By You I have been sustained from my birth; You are He who took me from my mother’s womb;
My praise is continually of You.
Psalms 71:5‭-‬6 NASB

O Lord, the hope of Israel,
All who forsake You will be put to shame. Those who turn away on earth will be written down,
Because they have forsaken the fountain of living water, even the Lord.
Jeremiah 17:13 NASB

🌹 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalms 34:1 NASB

Never Ashamed

In You, O Lord, I have taken refuge; Let me never be ashamed. In Your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; Incline Your ear to me and save me.
Psalms 71:1‭-‬2 NASB

In You, O Lord, I have taken refuge: let me never be ashamed.
I trust. I wait, for none who wait for You will be ashamed. I have taken refuge in You, my Rock of strength, my Fortress. For Your name’s sake, lead me and guide me. I have called upon You, for You will answer me, O God. (Psalm 23:1-3; 25:11; 17:6)

🌹Not ashamed for I wait for You, Amen.

The Lord is His Name

The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will extol Him. The Lord is a warrior; The Lord is His name.

Preparation for Eternity

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.
1 Thessalonians 5:23‭-‬24 NASB

Then Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every skillful person in whom the Lord had put skill, everyone whose heart stirred him, to come to the work to perform it.
Exodus 36:2 NASB

🌹What God has called you to He will prepare you for and will bring it to pass. Your life is a journey of preparation for eternity.

God Preserves Life

If you haven’t read the remarkable story of Joseph, the son of Jacob, you should take some time to read it. Genesis 37-50

Joseph didn’t have the perfect life but all that happened to him, the good along with the bad, was to fulfill God’s purpose according to His will. And the way that Joseph accepted it is a good lesson for us all.

Joseph speaking to his brothers:

Now do not be grieved or angry with yourselves, because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life.
Genesis 45:5 NASB

God “sent” to preserve life. God desires to preserve life.

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.
Genesis 50:20 NASB

who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:4 NASB

Are you ready to let God be in control?

🌹You have granted me life and lovingkindness; And Your care has preserved my spirit.
Job 10:12 NASB

No Division

Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment. For I have been informed concerning you, my brethren, by Chloe’s people, that there are quarrels among you.
1 Corinthians 1:10‭-‬11 NASB

This is a portion of our Bible Study this past Sunday morning.

Where do quarrels come from?
What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members?
James 4:1 NASB

When our focus is centered on anyone or anything other than God Himself we will experience conflict. Our will and desires conflicting with the will and desires of others when together we should be seeking the will of God. Desiring to please Him.

Additional Scripture from Sunday’s  Bible Study:

Now I mean this, that each one of you is saying, “I am of Paul,” and “I of Apollos,” and “I of Cephas,” and “I of Christ.”
1 Corinthians 1:12 NASB

There should be no argument. It is all about God. So. . .

But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ.
Matthew 23:8‭-‬10 NASB

🌹Who is your teacher, your Father, your leader? There is only One and we, His people, need to come together in unity seeking His leadership, counsel, and teachings. He is God. We are not.

❤Happy Valentine’s Day ❤

for God is love.
1 John 4:8b NASB

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
1 John 4:10 NASB

God loves you. He desires your soul. The Father longs to save you from the punishment of sin and preserve your life eternally. Won’t you seek Him?

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”
John 3:16‭-‬21 NASB

🌹The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9 NASB
But don’t wait. Call on Him now.
