The Lord of hosts has sworn saying, “Surely, just as I have intended so it has happened, and just as I have planned so it will stand, This is the plan devised against the whole earth; and this is the hand that is stretched out against all the nations. For the Lord of hosts has planned, and who can frustrate it? And as for His stretched-out hand, who can turn it back?” Isaiah 14:24, 26-27 NASB
God has a plan. He is always at work fulfilling His plan. From the creation of the Universe even up to today, God is working out His plan.
We can willingly be a part of that plan or we can rebel against that plan but His plan will come to completion either way.
My hope is that you look to Jesus, our hope for eternity, and walk according to His plan.
What is His plan? It is written out in His holy word. Read it and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal.
🌹Start by seeking Him daily through His word, asking through prayer for understanding, wisdom, the revealing of His word. Ask for a heart, a soul, a mind that will love Him in it’s entirety. Then watch as the Father transforms your willing heart into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. 11 For the sake of Your name, O Lord, revive me. In Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble. 12 And in Your lovingkindness, cut off my enemies And destroy all those who afflict my soul, For I am Your servant. — Psalm 143:10-12
You are my God and I am your servant. Teach me Your will. Lead me. Revive me. Protect me. All for the sake of Your name. Your glory. Your will. Your purpose. Your righteousness. Your lovingkindness.
“To whom have you uttered words? And whose spirit was expressed through you? — Job 26:4
In prayer this morning. Praying for the church. Praying that the church would see the need to put and keep Jesus as the head, to keep Him on the throne. That all decisions would be made under the influence of the Holy Spirit. . .
Then I read this verse. I could ask this question, and should, a thousand times a day, “whose spirit is expressed through me”?
Throughout your day, whose spirit is exposed through you?
Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware. You know that when you were pagans, you wereled astray to the mute idols, however you were led. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. — 1 Corinthians 12:1-4
and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through theknowledge of every good thing which is in you for Christ’s sake. — Philemon 1:6
How is your walk of faith? Are you growing so as to be effective for the sake of Christ? Prayer is fellowship with God which is necessary to see things from God’s perspective, humble us, and to surrender our lives for His purpose.
Fellowship of faith is fellowship with other believers so as to encourage, be encouraged and to sharpen and be sharpened. Along with that is accountability.
Fellowship of faith is filling our mind and hearts with the Word of God. It teaches us His way and allows us to serve in a manner worthy of our Lord by the Holy Spirit’s guidance and bringing to remembrance what we have studied.
Again, how is your faith? “I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for Christ’s sake”.
Be of the same mind toward one another; — Romans 12:16a
make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. — Philippians 2:2
But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one.For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. — 1 Corinthians 2:15-16
No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. — John 15:15
Christ unites the body of believers. It is His mind we seek. As we seek to honor and please God the Holy Spirit brings us together in one mind to bring glory to our Lord.
Prayer and Bible study under the power and influence of the Holy Spirit brings like minds, unity and power to the work of God. Are you participating?
In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. — Romans 8:26-27
Oh how great our need! Our need for God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) to fulfill His great purpose. We are weak but He is strong. We do not know how to pray effectively but the Holy Spirit does. Jesus, who knows our hearts, intercedes with the Father on our behalf to fulfill the will of God, just as Jesus did when He was in the flesh.
To God be the glory for the things He has done and has yet to do in our humbled weakness.
For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He livesbecause of the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, yet we will live with Him because of the power of God directed toward you. 2 Corinthians 13:4
However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodiesthrough His Spirit who dwells in you. — Romans 8:9-11
Now that is good news. Pretty much black and white. Either you do or you don’t.
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. — John 14:23
Do you or don’t you have the Spirit of God in you? Choose today. It is a life and death situation.
And now, behold, bound by the Spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit solemnly testifies to me in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions await me.But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God. — Acts 20:22-24
How strong is your conviction to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
