He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief corner stone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:11-12 NASB
🌹Who are you entrusting your life and eternity to?
But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to give heed to you rather than to God, you be the judge; for we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:19-20 NASB
🌹Help others experience God by proclaiming the gospel and what Jesus has done and is doing in your life.
Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus. Acts 4:13NASB
🌹Do people notice that You have been with Jesus? Are you educated by sitting at the feet of Jesus as the Holy Spirit teaches about Him, the Word made flesh?
Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brethren; to Him you shall give heed to everything He says to you. And it will be that every soul that does not heed that prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ Acts 3:22-23 NASB
This statement is pretty blunt and straight forward, “give heed to EVERYTHING He says to you, if not your soul shall be utterly destroyed”.
🌹We cannot pick and choose what we want to heed, obey, from God’s Word. It is all or nothing.
You alone are the Lord. You have made the heavens, The heaven of heavens with all their host, The earth and all that is on it, The seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them And the heavenly host bows down before You. Nehemiah 9:6 NASB
Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you? Luke 16:11 NASB
How faithful are we with the material things of this world that God has put in our care? Are we a good steward of the unrighteous wealth – wealth that we live for and entrust our survival to but does nothing to lead to the eternal kingdom – using it for kingdom glory? If others see the wealth of this world driving us will they trust us when we speak of the true wealth of eternity?
🌹Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed. 1 Timothy 6:17-19 NASB
“And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God; but he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God. Luke 12:8-9 NASB
For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. Luke 9:26 NASB
Would you consider “being quiet” about your relationship with Jesus a denial or being ashamed of Him? God truly knows our heart. If Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to us why wouldn’t we want to tell everyone we know or see about Him?
I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.’ ” Luke 15:7, 10, 32 NASB
🌹Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Do we respond as the angels in heaven over people’s repentance? Or are we apathetic, disinterested or take for granted the change God makes in repentant people? Shouldn’t we rejoice, come beside and encourage in the faith, and thank God for His grace and work in each other?
