Trust, Cling, Follow, Obey

He (King Hezekiah) trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel; so that after him there was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor among those who were before him. For he clung to the Lord; he did not depart from following Him, but kept His commandments, which the Lord had commanded Moses.
2 Kings 18:5‭-‬6 NASB

What can be said of you? Are you faithful?
Trusting in the Lord God?
Clinging to the Lord?
Following Jesus closely?
Keeping the commandments of God which He commanded?

🌹Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
Proverbs 3:5‭-‬7 NASB

Your Love in the Spirit

and he also informed us of your love in the Spirit.
For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience;
joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.
Colossians 1:8‭-‬12 NASB

🌹Salvation doesn’t stop at conversion. Salvation is the beginning of an eternal journey with Jesus or Savior.
Increasing in the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
Walking in a manner worthy of our Lord.
Pleasing our God.
Bearing fruit in good works.
Increasing in the knowledge of God.
Abiding in His power to strengthen us for steadfastness and patience.
Joyously praising our Father who has qualified us through the blood of Jesus for an eternal inheritance!!

He is your praise and He is your God, who has done these great and awesome things for you which your eyes have seen.
Deuteronomy 10:21 NASB

Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Philippians 4:20 NASB

Remnant

And there will be a highway from Assyria For the remnant of His people who will be left, Just as there was for Israel In the day that they came up out of the land of Egypt.
Isaiah 11:16 NASB

A highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for him who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it.
Isaiah 35:8 NASB

Remnant: a remaining, usually small part, quantity, number, or the like.

🌹God always, by His grace and for His name sake, has a remnant of believers. The faithful. Will you be part of the remnant? Are you walking the Highway of Holiness?

Thus you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have set you apart from the peoples to be Mine.
Leviticus 20:26 NASB

Look to God

Have you ever experienced, truly experienced the joy of the Lord? I’m not taking about when things are going well in your life and you rejoice and are thankful to God; but when you are in the midst of turmoil and nothing is going right and you have a joy beyond explanation. Your heart is overflowing with love for the Lord. When you can’t contain it and your face shows it. Your mouth is opened with praise and song to THE  awesome God of all. When your eyes see only Jesus and His abundant love for you.

David wrote in time of fear as He fled from King Saul. He looked to his God.

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises! Awake, my glory! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations. For Your lovingkindness is great to the heavens And Your truth to the clouds. Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth.
Psalms 57:7‭-‬11 NASB

🌹Hoping you experience the joy of the Lord today.

Salvation to Conversion

But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in time of trouble. The Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, Because they take refuge in Him.
Psalms 37:39‭-‬40 NASB

🌹 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners will be converted to You.
Psalms 51:12‭-‬13 NASB

Person of God!

Samuel said to the people, “Do not fear. You have committed all this evil, yet do not turn aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart. You must not turn aside, for then you would go after futile things which can not profit or deliver, because they are futile. For the Lord will not abandon His people on account of His great name, because the Lord has been pleased to make you a people for Himself. Only fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you. But if you still do wickedly, both you and your king will be swept away.”
1 Samuel 12:20‭-‬22‭, ‬24‭-25 NASB

for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
1 Peter 2:10 NASB

Even when we sin, do not draw away from God but serve Him with your whole heart. God will not abandon you. He is pleased to make you a person for Himself. Fear God and serve the Lord with all your heart in truth. And consider all the things He has done for you.

🌹Through His mercy and on account of His great name you are a person of God!! Praise Him and rejoice in the life He has given you.

Continually Seeking Him,

Persecution “Granted”

For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,
Philippians 1:29 NASB

Christianity. I’m saved! Jesus is my Savior!! I’m going to heaven!!!

We tend to stop there. We are content to believe that all we need is to profess Jesus as Savior and feel secure that we are heaven bound.

Christianity is so much more. One of those “more” is “we have been GRANTED” “to suffer for His sake”. For Christ’s sake.

Persecution, suffering, insults are a blessing. What?! A blessing? We are to rejoice and be glad giving glory to God? That is what the Bible says.

“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
Matthew 5:11 NASB
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Matthew 5:12 NASB

If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.
1 Peter 4:14 NASBB
but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.
1 Peter 4:16 NASB

🌹As an example, brethren, of suffering and patience, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.
James 5:10 NASB

Continually Seeking Him,

God Our Refuge

But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my refuge, That I may tell of all Your works.
Psalms 73:28 NASB

🌹May you truly experience the nearness of God, making Him your refuge and strength for the purpose of telling His wonderful works so others may experience His nearness and make God their refuge.

All to the glory of God!!!

The Battle Belongs to The Lord

and he said, “Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s. Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the Lord, worshiping the Lord.
2 Chronicles 20:15‭, ‬18 NASB

🌹Surrender your fear to the Lord God today. Humbly bow before Him in worship and prayer for the battle truly belongs to the Lord!

Continually Seeking Him,
