The Everlasting Light of Glory!

Believer in Jesus Christ, Son of God,

No longer will you have the sun for light by day, Nor for brightness will the moon give you light; But you will have the Lord for an everlasting light, And your God for your glory.

Is Your Light On?

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

The verse “nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house” can be found four times in the Gospels. Matthew 5:15, Mark 4:21, Luke  8:16, and Luke 11:33.

I consider it an important statement if it is mentioned four times. Could it be a  reminder that salvation is more than receiving? That it is about shining the Good News in the lives of others? Jesus is the Light that shines through believers to the world.

I (Jesus) have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.
