I’m sitting on my porch this morning in the darkness of a storm brewing. Here is where I spend my mornings with Jesus. Most days I hear the birds chirping and hear squirrels squealing away and see them as they jump from tree to tree. But this morning is quiet except for the russel of the leaves on the tree as the wind blows. No sun, just grey skies and a cool wind.
It brought to mind the beginning of storms in our lives. How do we handle them?
We can look at the storm and fret over what might happen or we can look to and trust God to walk with us through the storm and await the outcome of His purpose for the storm.
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
For I am the Lord your God, who upholds your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’
