In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. — Romans 8:26-27
Oh how great our need! Our need for God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) to fulfill His great purpose. We are weak but He is strong. We do not know how to pray effectively but the Holy Spirit does. Jesus, who knows our hearts, intercedes with the Father on our behalf to fulfill the will of God, just as Jesus did when He was in the flesh.
To God be the glory for the things He has done and has yet to do in our humbled weakness.
For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He lives because of the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, yet we will live with Him because of the power of God directed toward you. 2 Corinthians 13:4
