For His Name’s Sake

Ascribe (Give) to the Lord, O families of the peoples, Ascribe (Give) to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe (Give) to the Lord the glory of His name; Bring an offering and come into His courts.
Psalms 96:7-8 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.96.7-8.NASB1995

🙏 Help me, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; And deliver me and forgive (cover over, atone for) my sins for Your name’s sake.¹ For You are my rock and my fortress; For Your name’s sake You will lead me and guide me.² For Your name’s sake, O Lord, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.³ All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to You, Lord, And all the families of the nations will worship before You.⁴
I ask this in the name of my Lord, amen.

Do You Know God?

We make time to spend with family. We make time to spend with friends. We make time to do our favorite things.
All of these can be beneficial, but time with God is the most beneficial to our lives and eternity. Time with the Lord God is for getting to know Him and for opening up ourselves to “be known” by Him.
To know someone, really know someone, takes effort and time spent with them.

🌹Do you know God or just “of” Him?

Thus says the Lord, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 9:23-24 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jer.9.23-24.NASB1995

More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ,

God is Near

When is your best time of the day, when you’re fresh and alert? Is it first thing in the morning or after your first cup of coffee? Maybe it’s in the afternoon or maybe you are a night owl.

God is a 24 hour, 7 days a week God.

For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as is the Lord our God whenever we call on Him?
Deuteronomy 4:7 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/deu.4.7.NASB1995

“So let us draw near to God here.” 1 Samuel 14:36
“The nearness of God is my good.” Psalm 73:28

Where is the best place to go where you won’t be interrupted or distracted?

Try setting aside time on a daily  basis for connecting with God. You will be blessed and grow closer to the God who loves you deeply.

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.

No Not One

Hear my prayer, O Lord, Give ear to my supplications! Answer me in Your faithfulness, in Your righteousness! And do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For in Your sight no man living is righteous.
Psalms 143:1-2 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.143.1-2.NASB1995

Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and who never sins.
Ecclesiastes 7:20 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/ecc.7.20.NASB1995

🙏 Lord God, forgive me of my sin. Search me and reveal any wicked way in me, that I may confess and receive Your forgiveness. Clothe me in Your righteousness, for I have no righteousness of my own. In Your righteous and holy name I ask, amen.

🌹Only God is righteous. Not you. Not me. But O what He can do through a forgiven servant’s heart.

God, I pray asking You to bless and keep the one reading this now. I pray, Lord, that You will shine Your face upon this precious soul, be gracious to them, and that You will be their peace as You show them favor.
Save Your people and bless Your inheritance; Be our shepherd also, and carry us forever, Lord God, I pray. Keep us as the apple of Your eye and hide us in the shadow of Your wings.

The Source of Eternity

In the days of His flesh (during Christ’s earthly life), He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety.

Have you met the Savior Jesus Christ?
His extreme love for humanity and love of the Father brought Him to earth. Jesus willingly gave His life as a sacrifice for you so you could have eternal salvation. Knowing God and walking with Jesus is assurance for life eternal. Trust Him today. Surrender your heart, your will, your way and Jesus will show you His will, His way, His truth as He leads you on the road to the promised land. Eternity with God. The choice is yours. The alternative is eternal Hell.

🙏 Lord, my heart breaks for the lost soul. I ask that You will open eyes, soften hearts, bring understanding and wisdom to the ones reading this who do not know You. I pray for the ones who do know you that their hearts would be broken for the lost and that you would give us opportunities to share especially as many celebrate Easter. Help us to bring the true meaning of Easter into the lives of our neighbors. For Your glory and in the name of Jesus, our Savior, I pray. Amen.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Your presence, and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with Your willing spirit.

Prayer of Confession

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the abundance of Your compassion, blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.
Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You are justified when you speak, and blameless when You pass judgment.
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me. Behold, You desire truth in the inward being, and in my secret heart You will teach me wisdom.

🌹Thank You God for Your mercy and compassion upon me.
Because You have washed me, I am cleansed from my sin.

New Year’s Resolution #3

Thus says the Lord, “Preserve justice and do righteousness, For My salvation is about to come And My righteousness to be revealed.
How blessed is the man who does this, And the son of man who takes hold of it; Who keeps from profaning the sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil.” Let not the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord say, “The Lord will surely separate me from His people.” Nor let the eunuch say, “Behold, I am a dry tree.” For thus says the Lord, “To the eunuchs who keep My sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant, To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial, And a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name which will not be cut off.
“Also the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord, To minister to Him, and to love the name of the Lord, To be His servants, every one who keeps from profaning the sabbath And holds fast My covenant; Even those I will bring to My holy mountain And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”
