Joyously Thankful

. . .; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.

Blessed Are Those Who Long

just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,
Ephesians 1:4-5 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/eph.1.4-5.NASB1995

Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him.
Isaiah 30:18 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.30.18.NASB1995

Believers are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to walk in good works. Jesus reconciled the believer in order to present us holy, blameless and beyond reproach. Jesus came to open the eyes of the blind and the ears of the deaf – those lost in darkness and deaf to God’s word. God will guide our feet in the way of peace. The Lord longs to be gracious to you.
Ephesians 2:10; Colossians 1:22; Isaiah 32:3, 30:21; Luke 1:79

🌹O Lord, be gracious to us; we have waited for You. Be their (our) strength every morning, Our salvation also in the time of distress.

To All Mothers

Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise),
Ephesians 6:2 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/eph.6.2.NASB1995

Today many will take time to honor their mother on this designated “Mother’s Day”.

Mothers sacrifice for their families out of love and care for them.

[15] She rises also while it is still night And gives food to her household And portions to her maidens.
[18] She senses that her gain is good; Her lamp does not go out at night.
[21] She is not afraid of the snow for her household, For all her household are clothed with scarlet.
[25-28] Strength and dignity are her clothing, And she smiles at the future. She opens her mouth in wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her, . . .
Proverbs 31:15, 18, 21, 25-28 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/pro.31.15-28.NASB1995

‭There are also the Mothers who are not blood related.
Someone said to Him, “Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside seeking to speak to You.” But Jesus answered the one who was telling Him and said, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, “Behold My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.”
Matthew 12:47-50 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/mat.12.47-50.NASB1995

There is the mentor, those godly women who “mother” younger women. The nursery worker, school teacher. The mother who adopted, the mother of foster kids. And so many more.

God bless your Mother’s Day!

🌹How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways. . .
Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine Within your house, Your children like olive plants Around your table. . .
Indeed, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel!
