“Go and say to My servant David, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Are you the one who should build Me a house to dwell in? For I have not dwelt in a house since the day I brought up the sons of Israel from Egypt, even to this day; but I have been moving about in a tent, even in a tabernacle. Wherever I have gone with all the sons of Israel, did I speak a word with one of the tribes of Israel, which I commanded to shepherd My people Israel, saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’ ” ’
2 Samuel 7:5-7 NASB
God was with Israel as they traveled (sojourned) across the wilderness and beyond as they entered into the promised land. God moved in a tent, the tabernacle.
Today God is with us in His Holy Spirit residing in us, His people, as we travel this wilderness on the way to the promised land.
Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
2 Corinthians 6:16 NASB
Is the Holy Spirit living in you? If yes, then is He moving freely to accomplish His will in you or are you trying to contain God in “a house made of cedar”?
🌹Our God cannot be contained.
Continually Seeking Him,
Sharon
