I Love You, Lord

I love the Lord, because He hears My voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live.
Psalms 116:1‭-‬2 NASB

My God:

“I love You, O Lord, my strength.”
I have called upon You, for You will answer me, O God; Incline Your ear to me, hear my speech. Wondrously show Your lovingkindness, O Savior of those who take refuge at Your right hand From those who rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me in the shadow of Your wings.
Incline Your ear to me, rescue me quickly; Be to me a rock of strength, A stronghold to save me. For You are my rock and my fortress; For Your name’s sake You will lead me and guide me. Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have ransomed me, O Lord, God of truth.
Psalms 18:1 NASB, Psalms 17:6‭-‬8 NASB, Psalms 31:2‭-‬3‭, ‬5 NASB

🌹I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. Since I am afflicted and needy, Let the Lord be mindful of me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God.
Psalms 40:1‭, 2 NASB

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12 NASB

God’s creation, people, are created in the image of a perfect God. But the rulers, the power of darkness that influences the wickedness of this fallen world rule without God’s influence.

When you look at people, do you see God’s creation and desire that they experience the Almighty God and His salvation? Or do you look and see only the wickedness and influence of a fallen world? People need Jesus.

I was speaking to a Christian sister yesterday about this verse. I was explaining that I had never looked at it from the perspective of people being God’s creation and the war is not with God’s creation but with the forces of darkness working in the sinful person, still a creation of His. She then shared this with me. . .

When Jesus washed the feet of His disciples,  He washed the feet of ALL 12 of them. This included Judas, the one who betrayed Jesus. The one Jesus knew would betray Him.

Wow! Can we look at mankind and separate the creation from the forces of evil working in that person?
Do we love God’s creation enough to share the gospel that they may be made new and whole under the influence of a Holy God? Or do we look at the evil and shy away from speaking truth that can change the life of a God created being?

🌹Are we willing to share the gospel of Jesus Christ for the benefit of those walking in darkness?

Thank you Rhonda W. for your insights and influence.
