For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Lord God, draw us to Your holy Word for the hope we need. In the perseverance and encouragement you give help us to be of the same mind with one another, the mind of Christ, so that we may use it to be glory to You, our God and Father.  Amen
