and He Himself (Jesus) is the propitiation (or satisfaction) for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.
1 John 2:2 NASB
š¹God, You are a God of love and reconciliation. You displayed publicly before the eyes of the world, Jesus, as a life-giving sacrifice of atonementĀ andĀ reconciliation by His blood and all can receive this salvation through faith. This wasĀ to demonstrate His righteousness which demands punishment for sin. Therefore, Jesus had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. Thank You, God, for making a way, under the new covenant, so the perfection and sacrifice of Christ will cover (atone for) the imperfection and sin of those who identified with Him and accepted Him as Savior. Make my life worthy of the sacrifice You made on my behalf, Lord God, I pray. In Jesus name, amen.
