The Life Change

The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
Psalms 119:130 NASB1995

The power of God’s word to bring light -understanding, direction, sense to life- will change the soul life of a seeking heart.

For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light; And reproofs for discipline are the way of life
Proverbs 6:23 NASB1995

The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

God’s Perfect Way

As for God, His way is blameless; (complete; or having integrity; or perfect)
Psalm 18:30a NASB

God, Your work is perfect, for all Your ways are just. You are a God of faithfulness and without injustice.  Righteous and upright are You, my Lord.
Your law is perfect (blameless), restoring the soul. Your testimony, O Lord, is sure, making wise the simple.
Lord, You are righteous in all Your ways and kind in all Your deeds. You are my Lord, my King, my God. Lead me in Your perfect way, clothing me in Your righteousness for Your name sake, and giving me wisdom to understand Your perfect will. Thank You, God. Glory to Your name, amen.
Deuteronomy 32:4/Psalms 19:7/Psalms 145:17 NASB

🌹And they *sang the song of Moses, the bond-servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God, the Almighty; Righteous and true are Your ways, King of the nations!
Revelation 15:3 NASB

1 John 5:16-17

If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death; I do not say that he should make request for this. All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.
1 John 5:16‭-‬17 NASB

Lord God, I offer up a prayer by faith for my brother/sister who is caught up in a sin. I pray You will restore him/her and forgive him/her. Lord, I know intercession on behalf of those who once were enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, blaspheming the Lord, You will not hear my prayer on their behalf. In the case of those who have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame. God, I pray for Your extravagant love to be poured out on my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and keep us from falling away into blasphemous sin. Father, God I pray I will not neglect to pray for Your saints. Thank You Father for the offer of salvation through Your Son. Thank You, Jesus for Your sacrificial obedience on the cross and thanks be to the Holy Spirit who convicts and leads to salvation, forgiveness, and guidance to walk into eternity by faith through grace. To You, Father, Son and Holy Spirit be honor and glory forever, amen.
James 5:15/Jeremiah 14:11/Jeremiah 7:16/Numbers 15:30/Hebrews 6:4‭-‬6 NASB

🌹For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

Reconnecting Day 8

Reflecting over my week along with reading Lamentations chapters 3-5 this morning I see God revealing Himself. I am aware of His mighty hand over me.

As I entered this time away I was struggling  and Lamentation 3:18 summarized it well:So I say, “My strength has perished, And so has my hope from the Lord.”
Lamentations 3:18 NASB

I needed to disconnect to reconnect to the love of my life. My soul knew but my heart and mind needed reminding:
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him.” (And He had been so good to me this week – reminding me of my need and dependence on Him, that I can wholly trust Him in all things, that He loves and cares for me and so much more–) It is good that (s)he waits silently For the salvation of the Lord.
Lamentations 3:24‭-‬26 NASB

What I needed to do was, “Let him sit alone and be silent” (hmm — in this busy world that is tough to do but very needed). Lamentations 3:28a
Let us examine and probe our ways, And let us return to the Lord.
Lamentations 3:40 NASB
We can get so busy and caught up in the day to day “doing” that we forget to “be”.
To BE
***the branch.
***who we were created to be, created for — the glory of God.
***abiding in God as He desires to abide in us.
***in His word so we can meditate on it, that our words will be pleasing to God.
***so close in our relationship with God that we know Him personally and intimately
***BElieve that God is who He says He is and He can do what He says He can do.
***at the feet of Jesus, which is a necessary choice.
What was the outcome of this week? We lift up our heart and hands Toward God in heaven;
Lamentations 3:41 NASB
God I thank You for making me aware that I was in need of You and that You heard me. . .
I called on Your name, O Lord, Out of the lowest pit. You have heard my voice, “Do not hide Your ear from my prayer for relief, From my cry for help.” You drew near when I called on You; You said, “Do not fear!” O Lord, You have pleaded my soul’s cause; You have redeemed my life.
Lamentations 3:55-58 NASB

Are you needing to be restored, revived, refreshed? Make time to call out to God. He is waiting.
Restore us to You, O Lord, that we may be restored; Renew our days as of old,
Lamentations 5:21 NASB

🌹I highly recommend a retreat with the Awesome God who created you and me.

Continually Seeking Him,

Sharon

P.S. Update on Day 7 “side note”. Going into my week of disconnecting and reconnecting with my God I was looking for renewal and refreshment. But at the end of this, although I did get renewed and refreshed, God was preparing me for a trial that would grieve me, test my faith, and bring me to full surrendered trust in my God whose timing is always perfect. Without my week of reconnecting I may have faced the coming week with my eyes focused in the wrong place.
Keeping my eyes focused on Jesus. That’s where I always want to be.

Thank you for traveling this journey with me.
