The Writing on The Wall

but you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven; . . . and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see, hear or understand. But the God in whose hand are your life-breath and all your ways, you have not glorified.
Daniel 5:23 NASB

King Belshazzar saw the writing on the wall and that night his life was taken. He had gone too far defaming the name of God.

He trusted in his own ability and ways. He was secure in his own fun and games with absolutely no regard to the things of God.

ūüĆĻIs God glorified in your life? Are you aware that He is your very life-breath and all your ways?

ūüĆĻDon’t wait until you see the writing on your wall. Turn to God (repent) and seek His forgiveness, truth and way. Let Him breathe new life into you for His glory.

I Give You Jesus

Now¬†Peter and John were going up to the temple at the¬†ninth¬†hour,¬†the hour of prayer.¬†And¬†a man who had been lame from his mother‚Äôs womb was being carried along, whom they¬†used to set down every day at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful,¬†in order to beg¬†alms of those who were entering the temple.¬†When he saw¬†Peter and John about to go into the temple, he¬†began¬†asking to receive alms.¬†But Peter, along with John,¬†fixed his gaze on him and said, ‚ÄúLook at us!‚Ä̬†And he¬†began¬†to give them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.¬†But Peter said, ‚ÄúI do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you:¬†In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene‚ÄĒwalk!‚Ä̬†¬†And seizing him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened.¬†With a leap he stood upright and¬†began¬†to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.¬†And¬†all the people saw him walking and praising God;¬†and they were taking note of him as being the one who used to¬†sit at the Beautiful Gate of the temple to¬†beg¬†alms, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. — Acts 3:1-10

But Peter said, ‚ÄúI do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene‚ÄĒwalk!‚ÄĚ We, who have Jesus as our Savior and Lord, have something to give the world more precious than silver and gold. Hope, power of the Holy Spirit and Jesus Himself. When we live under the authority and power of God people will be amazed. Lives will experience transformation that will bring about praise to God. The evidence of the work of God is recognizable because the result is glory and praise to God.

Continually seeking Him,
