O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.
Isaiah 25:1

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, ‚ÄúGlory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.‚ÄĚ
Luke 2:10‭-‬11,13-14 NASB

ūüĆĻI exalt You and give thanks to Your name, Father God for Your Son, Jesus, through whom I have salvation through Your perfect faithfulness.

Continually Seeking Him,

How lovely are Your dwelling places, O Lord of hosts! My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You. Selah. For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.       Psalms 84:1‭-‬2‭, ‬4‭, ‬10 NASB

For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” Matthew 18:20 NASB

not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.   Hebrews 10:25 NASB

My husband and I did some deliveries to homebound brothers and sisters yesterday and spent some time visiting. Our intention was to make the delivery and hopefully encourage those who we saw BUT I do believe that I was more encouraged and spirit lifted than they were.

What a blessing it is to spend time with the people of God. To speak of Jesus, His work in our lives, the lives of our love ones, to praise His mighty works, to encourage and be encouraged.

This morning my heart is joyful, content, at peace and believe it is because I dwelt in the courts of the Lord. Dwelt with God’s people where God is in the midst of our conversation, our small gathering. To God be the glory for His church.

As we celebrate around the world the birth of Jesus on December 25th, let us praise and thank Him for His church, the people of God, to whom He came to establish for His glory and purpose.

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.    Isaiah 9:6 NASB

ūüĆĻ Have a very Merry Christmas!

Continually Seeking Him,

Mary Christmas

Hope you have a Mary Christmas — no that is not a typo. It is easy to see how you can have a Merry Christmas with all the joyous music and holiday parties. But even with all that so many find this time to be a downer. ¬†Why? Because they are not having a Mary Christmas.

In Luke 10:38 ‚Äď 42 Mary sat at the feet of Jesus focusing on Him (the reason for the season) while Martha was hustling and bustling about. So my hope is that you will have a Mary Christmas which will bring to you peace for the season.

Continually seeking Him,

Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named¬†Martha welcomed Him into her home.¬†She had a sister called¬†Mary, who was¬†seated at the Lord‚Äôs feet, listening to His word.¬†But¬†Martha was distracted with¬†all her preparations; and she came up¬†to Him¬†and said, ‚ÄúLord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.‚Ä̬†But the Lord answered and said to her,¬†‚ÄúMartha, Martha, you are¬†worried and bothered about so many things;¬†but¬†only¬†one thing is necessary, for¬†Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.‚ÄĚ — Luke 10:38-42

Tell, Praise, Worship

Tell everyone of every nation,

“Praise the glorious power
    of the Lord.
He is wonderful! Praise him
and bring an offering
    into his temple.
Worship the Lord,
    majestic and holy.
1 Chronicles 16:28-29

Go tell it on the mountain, Jesus Christ is born. Come let us adore Him. Worthy of worship. Worthy of praise. Wonderful Counselor. Mighty God. Majesty, worship His majesty.

Hope your Christmas is filled with Jesus. May His name be spoken in your homes. May He be proclaimed in your neighborhood, church and workplace. May your one small voice make a difference to a dying world this Christmas. Christmas is Jesus, the Christ (Messiah) who came to save. Celebrate His marvelous gift!

Jesus Is Coming

Therefore having¬†overlooked¬†the times of ignorance, God is¬†now declaring to men that all¬†people¬†everywhere should repent,¬†because He has fixed¬†a day in which¬†He will judge¬†the world in righteousness¬†through a Man whom He has¬†appointed, having furnished proof to all men¬†by¬†raising Him from the dead.‚ÄĚ — Acts 17:30-31

Are you ready to receive the King of kings? He came once to bring salvation and redemption. The time is now to repent. When Jesus returns it will be for judgment. Do you know Jesus? He is the righteousness by which you will judged. Know Him and be saved from eternal condemnation.

Christians can truly rejoice at Christmas time knowing Jesus is the Christ. Christians can continue to rejoice because of the righteousness poured out on them by the blood of Jesus. Christians rejoice knowing that Jesus is coming again. O glorious day!

Are you ready?

God’s Christmas Gift

‚ÄúFor God so¬†loved the world, that He¬†gave His¬†only begotten Son, that whoever¬†believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.¬†For God¬†did not send the Son into the world¬†to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. — John 3:16-17

He who¬†did not spare His own Son, but¬†delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? — Romans 8:32

For I am convinced that neither¬†death, nor life, nor¬†angels, nor principalities, nor¬†things present, nor things to come, nor powers,¬†nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from¬†the love of God, which is¬†in Christ Jesus our Lord. — Romans 8:38-39

God went all out on our Christmas gift.

The gift is of great value, priceless. It cost the Father all He had, the best He had. God could not have put more love and attention into this most precious gift. It is a gift that once fully received you will not want to return it. It is so priceless that it can’t be exchanged because there is nothing comparable to it.

This gift came wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. This gift of love, extravagant love, came in the person of Jesus Christ. This is a gift that keeps on giving. All you need to do is accept Jesus, to receive this gift. It is there for the taking.

Experience Christmas as you have never experienced it before by opening the gift of extravagant love God sent to you.

The Christmas Gift

Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that¬†through¬†Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,¬†and¬†through Him¬†everyone who believes is¬†freed¬†from all things, from which you could not be¬†freed¬†through the Law of Moses. — Acts 13:38-39

Free. What a wonderful word for this season. Amazing that Christmas time is so filled with”hustle and bustle”, stress, over indulging, lack of sleep, “bah humbug” and the like. Could it be we have turned Christmas into something it isn’t?

Christmas. What a wonderful word. Christ fulfilled. Salvation. Forgiveness. Hope. Love. Joy. Peace. Freedom. Good News!

Come let us adore Him!!! Celebrate the real Christmas. Christ Himself.

Continually seeking Him,

Good News

And we¬†preach to you the good news of¬†the promise made to the fathers,¬†that God has fulfilled this¬†promise¬†to our children in that He¬†raised up Jesus, as it is also written in the second Psalm, ‚ÄėYou are My Son; today I have begotten You.‚Äô — Acts 13:32-33

Celebrate, it’s Christmas!!!! What better reason to celebrate than the fulfillment of prophesy in Jesus Christ, the only begotten of the Father. The promise of God to all generations that came in a humble stable.

The precious baby that would sacrifice His life for us. The good news of His resurrection all wrapped up in a beautiful gift and all for those who will believe.

The only begotten Son freely given. Will you accept the gift?

Jesus. The best gift you will receive this Christmas. Celebrate!!
