1 John 5:5

Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
1 John 5:5 NASB

By faith in You, Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner and in need of a Savior. Everyone is a sinner, as Your Scripture reveals, but it also reveals the promise that by faith in Jesus Christ the righteousness of God would be manifested, would be given to those who believe. And those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God overcomes the world. Out of Your love and care for Your creation, You have commanded that we believe in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, Lord God, and love one another. Your commandments are not burdensome but freeing. Thank You for loving me and for Your Scripture that guides me, shows me how to walk in step with You through obedience. To You, Almighty Sovereign God, be glory forever, amen.
Romans 3:22/Galatians 3:22/1 John 3:23 NASB

🌹that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

1 John 4:1-4

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe (do) His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
1 John 5:1‭-‬4 NASB

🌹Jesus, I believe You are the Messiah. I am born of God! I rejoice in You Father for sending Your Son. I love You Father. Thank You for Your great love poured out for me through Your Son whom I love. My being is from You, through You alone. Nothing comes into being apart from You, Jesus, and unless one is born again they cannot see the kingdom of God. I will show my love by my obedience to Your commandments. I will learn from Your Word, my gentle and humble Lord, and find rest for my soul, for Your commandments are not burdensome but light. By faith I shall overcome the world because You who is in me is greater than he who is in the world! Hallelujah!! Abide in me Lord I pray in Jesus name!!!

1 John 3:4-6

Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin. No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him.
1 John 3:4‭-‬6 NASB

🌹Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Jesus, You are the propitiation for my sin but not mine alone but for those of the whole world. I have been redeemed with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of my Savior Jesus Christ. Thank You, God, for Your law because through it I was made aware of my sin. Sin is lawlessness that brings about wrath. I thank You God for sending Jesus, who knew no sin to be sin on my behalf, that I could become Your righteousness in Jesus. How can I possibly thank You enough for this precious gift bestowed upon me except to practice righteousness in Jesus through Whom I am born again?! I will abide in You and not sin because I am covered in the blood, knowing You and keeping Your commandments and will do good for Your name sake. All praise, honor, and glory to Your name,  in whom I pray.  Amen.

1 John 2:5-6

but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.
1 John 2:5‭-‬6 NASB

Holy, Holy, Holy art Thou, Lord God Almighty!!! Glory, honor and praise belong to You! You gave Your Word to inform, instruct, draw hearts to You. Thank You God for Your holy word! The word is made known along with understanding through You, Holy Spirit. Jesus, by Your example of keeping the Father’s commandments and abiding in His love, I know I need to keep Your word so as to abide in You. Help me daily to deny myself, take up my cross and follow You. I need You God as I cannot bear fruit apart from You. Jesus, I want to follow in Your footsteps, take Your yoke upon myself and continue to learn from You, for You are gentle and humble in heart, and I will find rest for my soul in You. Perfect Your love in me God by my keeping of Your word. All for Your glory I humbly ask. Amen.

1 John 2:4

The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;
1 John 2:4 NASB

Lord, draw me to true understanding of this verse today as I meditate on Your word. Reveal to me whether Your truth is in me and I know You or whether I am making You a liar.
There are many rebellious people, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of professing faith. They profess to know You, God, but by their deeds they deny You, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed. Forgive me for any deceiving way or disobedience in me. Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my thoughts; And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting. In the name of Jesus I ask and pray, amen.

Promise to Disclose

He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”
John 14:21 NASB

I love those who love me (wisdom); And those who diligently seek me will find me.
Proverbs 8:17 NASB

The Lord said to Moses, “I will also do this thing of which you have spoken; for you have found favor in My sight and I have known you by name.” Then Moses said, “I pray You, show me Your glory!”
Exodus 33:17‭-‬18 NASB

Jesus *said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
John 11:40 NASB

disclose: to make known, reveal or uncover

🌹Is God disclosing Himself to you?

Jesus, I desire to see Your glory, for You to reveal Yourself to me. I love You, Lord God and through Your word I diligently seek You and Your wisdom. I long to be obedient to Your commandments out of reverence for You. Would You show me Your glory? Will you disclose Yourself to me? If I have found favor in Your sight my Lord God, I believe You will show Your glory to me.
In Jesus name and for His glory, amen.

Don’t Be A Fool

And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.’ ”
Job 28:28 NASB

The fear of (reverence for) the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever.
Psalms 111:10 NASB

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Proverbs 9:10 NASB

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 1:7 NASB

God Almighty, whose praise endures forever, I bow before You. In reverence of Your Holy name I commit to reading Your Word everyday so that I may grow in wisdom and knowledge of You. I do not want to walk as the foolish do, who walk in evil without understanding, and despise wisdom and instruction. I desire to walk in the knowledge of the Holy One, my Lord. You are my understanding, God. In understanding I will strive to obey Your commandments. I do not want to be a fool. To know You is to have wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
You are the Holy One in whose name I pray amen.

🌹The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.

The Gospel Truth

I considered my ways And turned my feet to Your testimonies. I hastened and did not delay To keep Your commandments.
Psalms 119:59‭-‬60 NASB

When the eyes of the heart are opened we realize how much we need the instruction of the Lord. God’s word is our instruction. The gospel, Jesus Christ, who sacrificed His life that you may know and trust Him; be forgiven of sin and walk with Him from the time of conversion into eternity.

🌹Are you being instructed by the Bible to keep the commandments of the Lord God?

Covenant to Walk

Then the king (Josiah) stood in his place and made a covenant before the Lord to walk after the Lord, and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes with all his heart and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant written in this book.
2 Chronicles 34:31 NASB

First commandment: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength.” Keeping that one commandment alone will fulfill the covenant. Loving God with your whole being brings your will in alignment with His and you desire to be obedient to His testimonies, His statutes. Following in obedience you “do” — perform the words of the covenant with reverence and submission. We could start with loving our neighbor as we love ourselves.

🌹 Walk after the Lord. Be like Jesus.

To Seek or Not

At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him, “Because you have relied on the king of Aram and have not relied on the Lord your God, therefore the army of the king of Aram has escaped out of your hand.
Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubim an immense army with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the Lord, He delivered them into your hand.
For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this. Indeed, from now on you will surely have wars.”
In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa became diseased in his feet. His disease was severe, yet even in his disease he did not seek the Lord, but the physicians.
2 Chronicles 16:7‭-‬9‭, ‬12 NASB

🌹In time of turmoil and distress in whom are you seeking? In whom is your trust?

The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he followed the example of his father David’s earlier days and did not seek the Baals, but sought the God of his father, followed His commandments, and did not act as Israel did.
2 Chronicles 17:3‭-‬4 NASB
