Favorite/Life Verse(s)

Do you have a favorite verse(s)? Or a verse(s) that keep you focused on your walk with God? Some may call it their “Life” verses. I would love to hear from you if you’re willing to share.

Here’s mine:

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Galatians 2:20 NASB1995

And . . .

He must increase, but I must decrease.
John 3:30 NASB1995

Looking forward to hearing from you. 😊

Continually Seeking Him,

  1. My “Life verse” is Psalm 86:11, “Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.” There are many others that I consider “favorites,” but a couple of those are 1 Samuel 14:7, where Jonathan’s armor bearer says, “Do all that is in your heart. Do as you wish. Behold, I am with you heart and soul.” I frequently pray this to Christ. Recently, John 18:37 was brought to my attention by the Spirit, where Jesus says to Pilate, “Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” And the last one I’ll share here is something that Jesus said to His disciples in John 6:63, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” His Words are Life!

    • Thank you for sharing these verses Jeff. Praying Samuel 14:7 to God! I love that. I love the commitment as a prayer to Jesus. Your other two verses speak to my heart as I have a great burden for those who believe in Christ but there is no relationship with Him. No commitment to study or obey His Word. Thank you so much for sharing. His Word IS Life!!!!

  2. Thank you for sharing, Sharon. There are many but I seem to think of these verses a lot:

    Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.
