Psalm of Thanksgiving Pt. 3

Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him; Worship the Lord in holy array.
Tremble before Him, all the earth; Indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved.
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; And let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.”
Let the sea roar, and all it contains; Let the field exult, and all that is in it.
Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the Lord; For He is coming to judge the earth.
O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

Then say, “Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks to Your holy name, And glory in Your praise.”
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting.

Then all the people said, “Amen,” and praised the Lord.
1 Chronicles 16:28‭-‬36 NASB

🌹Have a glorious weekend of worship, awe, glorious praise with thankfulness to the Lord, Creator, King, God of salvation, everlasting God. He is worthy!

Psalm of Thanksgiving Pt. 2

Sing to the Lord, all the earth; Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.
Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.
1 Chronicles 16:23-24

Sing to the Lord. Proclaim His salvation, the good news, from day to day. This is a Christian lifestyle.
Tell of His glory among the nations. This is missions. Proclaiming Christ to all peoples.

Why do we proclaim?

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; He also is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the Lord made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before Him, Strength and joy are in His place.
1 Chronicles 16:25-27

🌹May your strength and joy be found in Him today as you live with and for the Lord day to day.

Psalm of Thanksgiving Pt. 1

Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders. Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the Lord be glad.
1 Chronicles 16:8‭-10

When someone does something nice or special for you, what is your response? Usually there is a “thank you”, sometimes a smile with the nod of your head (like when a stranger holds a door for you), or even a hug given in thanksgiving. You acknowledge the person and often you tell others of the good deed, blessing you received.

When God blesses you, do you do the same? Thank Him and tell others of His goodness and blessing?
I find that the more I praise God and thank Him the more I seek Him. The more I seek Him, the more I notice all the blessings He bestows on me everyday. The more blessings I see, the more I praise and thank Him. The more I want to tell the world of His goodness, His grace, His love, His salvation. The joy of the Lord is my strength. So. . .

🌹Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually. Remember His wonderful deeds which He has done, His marvels and the judgments from His mouth, O seed of Israel His servant, Sons of Jacob, His chosen ones! He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.
1 Chronicles 16:11-14

From Darkness to Light

It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.
Daniel 2:22 NASB

He reveals mysteries from the darkness And brings the deep darkness into light.
Job 12:22 NASB

‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Jeremiah 33:3 NASB

🌹Let Jesus Christ bring light to your darkness. Call out to Him.

Burden Lifters

Then Daniel went to his house and informed his friends, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, about the matter, so that they might request compassion from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that Daniel and his friends would not be destroyed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
Daniel 2:17‭-‬18 NASB

Do you have prayer warriors in your life? A group of Christian friends who will go to the throne of God with you, no matter the size of the need? Someone(s) you can confide in and likewise would not hesitate to share their burdens with you?

🌹God did not intend for us to go this life alone. That is why God gave us brothers and sisters in Christ to share the burdens but also the joys.

Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
Romans 12:15 NASB

He Knows Those…

The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him.
Nahum 1:7 NASB

🌹Does the Lord know you?

And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’
Matthew 7:23 NASB

Words of This Book

“Go, inquire of the Lord for me and the people and all Judah concerning the words of this book that has been found, for great is the wrath of the Lord that burns against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.”
2 Kings 22:13 NASB

Wrath because they did not listened or obey the Word of God. Is there any wonder wrath is upon us now?

🌹Open the Word of God, the Bible. Read it as often as you have opportunity. It will be a blessing to you if you obey and it opens the door to God and who He is.

Exult, Rejoice

Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls,
YET I WILL EXULT IN THE LORD, I WILL REJOICE  IN THE GOD OF MY SALVATION.
Habakkuk 3:17‭-‬18 NASB

Though the world is falling down around you, will your peace, your treasure, your joy, still be in the God of your salvation?
Will you still exult (to show or feel a lively or triumphant joy; rejoice exceedingly; be highly elated or jubilant) in the Lord?

🌹This is only possible through a trusting, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Do you know Him? Seek Him.

Heed the Word of the Lord

O generation, heed the word of the Lord. Have I been a wilderness to Israel, Or a land of thick darkness? Why do My people say, ‘We are free to roam; We will no longer come to You’?
Jeremiah 2:31 NASB

God is a God of justice. Holy. Perfect. He is also a God of love for His people. He wants the best for us. Loving and walking with Him according to His Holy Word in the light of His countenance.

The words, “We are free to roam; We will no longer come to You” breaks my heart. The compassion of God being rejected by the ones He loves. Rejected by the very ones He wants to experience His awesomeness, His abounding love, His contentment, His peace, His joy, and so on.

🌹For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:11‭-‬13 NASB

Gospel Feet

Keep your feet from being unshod (uncovered) And your throat from thirst; But you said, ‘It is hopeless! No! For I have loved strangers, And after them I will walk.’
Jeremiah 2:25 NASB

But they will say, ‘It’s hopeless! For we are going to follow our own plans, and each of us will act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart.’
Jeremiah 18:12 NASB

Seeking our own way, our own truth, our own life leads us away from the real way, truth and life, Jesus Christ – leading to everlasting destruction.

Thus says the Lord to this people, “Even so they have loved to wander; they have not kept their feet in check. Therefore the Lord does not accept them; now He will remember their iniquity and call their sins to account.”
Jeremiah 14:10 NASB

Keep your feet in check. Cover them with the preparation of the gospel. For your sake, your salvation. Then move those feet, covered with the gospel, everywhere God leads to proclaim Jesus – the way, the truth, and the life – for the salvation of others.

🌹and having shod (covered) your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Ephesians 6:15 NASB

How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”
Romans 10:15 NASB
