Extol: worship, exalt, glorify, celebrate

O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.

Is Your Light On?

For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake.
For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:5-6 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/2co.4.5-6.NASB1995

As bond-servants of Jesus, who lives in us, we shine the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. What a tremendous responsibility to be faithful in our obedient walk with God.

Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son.
2 John 1:9 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/2jn.1.9.NASB1995

🌹But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;
2 Corinthians 4:7 NASB1995

Knowledge and Wisdom

The mind (heart) of the prudent (careful, cautious, discreet, reasonable) acquires knowledge, And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
Proverbs 18:15 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/pro.18.15.NASB1995

The fear of the Lord is the instruction for wisdom, And before honor comes humility.
Proverbs 15:33 NASB1995

He whose ear listens to the life-giving reproof Will dwell among the wise.
Proverbs 15:31 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/pro.15.31.NASB1995

Are we wise and knowledgeable in the things of God?

🙏Let us pray, believing . . .
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you (us) a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Jesus Came to Call

For what purpose did Jesus come to earth in bodily form? Why would He leave His throne on high to become a carpenter’s son? Why would He allow His death?

Because of you!!!

Christ Jesus . . . although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Philippians 2:6-8 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/php.2.5-8.NASB1995

Jesus came in obedience to God the Father for a purpose.

Is Jesus our example? Are we to be obedient to God by following in the footsteps of Jesus?

I find these words of Jesus very convicting:

I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.” Luke 5:32 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/luk.5.32.NASB1995

Do you?

🌹Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,
