No Partiality

But you have dishonored the poor man. Is it not the rich who oppress you and personally drag you into court?
James 2:6 NASB1995

The righteous mighty One, shows no partiality to princes nor regards the rich above the poor, for they are all the work of His hands.

Do they not blaspheme the fair name by which you have been called?
James 2:7 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jas.2.6-7.NASB1995

We, the called of God, the righteous mighty One, need to stand strong. Let us follow God by not showing partiality. We, God’s beloved, should walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Let us continue to build each other up into our most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keeping each other in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
Colossians 1:10/Jude 1:20-21 NASB1995

No Partiality

My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism.
For if a man comes into your assembly with a gold ring and dressed in fine clothes, and there also comes in a poor man in dirty clothes, and you pay special attention to the one who is wearing the fine clothes, and say, “You sit here in a good place,” and you say to the poor man, “You stand over there, or sit down by my footstool,” have you not made distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil motives?
James 2:1-4 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jas.2.1-4.NASB1995

The rich and the poor have a common bond, The Lord is the maker of them all.
There is no partiality with God and God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
We do not know the heart of a person by their attire or stature in society. We are not to judge for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him.
We shall not be partial to the poor nor defer to the great, nor judge according to appearance, but we are to judge our neighbor fairly with righteous judgment.
Proverbs 22:2/Romans 2:11/1 Samuel 16:7b/Romans 10:12/Leviticus 19:15/John 7:24/Proverbs 2:2 NASB1995

What Are You Pursuing?

But the brother (church member) of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position;
James 1:9 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jas.1.9.NASB1995

What “high position” is that? It is not our social status, but that we are a child of God, an heir. Are we taking great delight in our high position, living in His glory?

and the rich man is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass (the flower of the grass) he will pass away.
James 1:10 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jas.1.10.NASB1995

Just as the man of “humble circumstances” will pass away, so will the rich man. His humiliation is to know that he is a sinner and without Christ, the only thing he is worthy of is eternal death. Without Jesus we are all dead. The pursuit of God should outweigh the pursuit of wealth, fame, comfort in this life.

For the sun rises with a scorching wind and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away.
James 1:11 NASB1995

🌹What, or should I say, ‘Who are we pursuing’ this side of eternity?

1 John 3:17-20

But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things.
1 John 3:17‭-‬20 NASB

God, You are great!! I draw near to You with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith; please draw near to me. I cleanse my hands before You seeking Your forgiveness for that which condemns me. I then can willingly approach Your throne with a pure heart and clean hands. You know my heart and all things God.
All that I have, Lord is Yours. You have given me all I possess physically and spiritually. God, I pray that I will not close my heart to a brother and/or sister in need. How can I if You are abiding in me? Transform my heart to love in deed and truth. You abundantly bless Lord God. I pray I will freely open my hand to my brothers/sisters in need and  generously lend him/her sufficient for his/her need in whatever he/she lacks. All to and for Your glory! Amen

🌹You shall generously give to him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all your undertakings. For the poor will never cease to be in the land; therefore I command you, saying, ‘You shall freely open your hand to your brother, to your needy and poor in your land.’
