Being Known

We know of many celebrities. We know of a lot of people. Many people may know of you at the grocery store or restaurant you frequent. Or at your workplace, school, church, etc. But, do they really know you?

We cannot possibly know people, truly know them without spending time with them. Building a relationship is necessary to really know someone. Many walking the earth today know of God, but don’t know Him. Many people know you and me, but how many really “know” us? To know someone, really know someone, takes effort,  perseverance and time spent with them. It’s a relationship on a personal level.

How well do you know God?

Are we obedient to His Word?
By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;

Abiding God

Power to Glorify

‭All believers have been called. Called through salvation to fulfill the plan of God. The glory in this is that fulfilling God’s plan is not dependent on us. That’s a huge weight lifted off of our shoulders. Before you get too excited though, we do have responsibilities beyond our confession of belief in Jesus Christ:

1. Love the Lord your God – Joshua 23:11
2. Seek His kingdom first – Matthew 6:33
3. Surrender your will to God’s will – Matthew 6:10
4. Obey – Acts 5:29
5. Honor – 1 Corinthians 6:20
6. Follow – ‭1 John 2:6
7. Abide in Him – John 15:4

You can participate in the wonders of God and see His glory as He works through His fully devoted servant – YOU!

If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
