Boasting

My soul will make its boast in the Lord; The humble will hear it and rejoice.
Psalms‬ 34:2 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.34.2.NASB1995

My boasting shall be that I understand and know God and that He is Lord!²

With His praise continually on my lips others will hear (the humble) and be curious, opening opportunity to share the joy of knowing, loving, and walking with God.

Do others see Jesus in you? Do others recognize there is something different about you? Do the humble hear of Jesus through you?

🌹But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, “Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

Praise begins in the heart. A righteous heart will exalt the Lord in praise. Praise begins at salvation.

Romans 10:10 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/rom.10.10.NASB1995

I Never Knew You

How does one come to know another? I mean really know someone. Isn’t it spending time with them? Time spent learning what they like, dislike? What brings them joy, what makes them angry? “What makes them tick?” It’s being willing to also be known ourselves?

Do you know Jesus Christ? Do you take time to know His likes, dislikes; what brings Him joy, or disappointment? Do you spend time letting Jesus know what’s happening in your life? Your likes? Your dislikes? Your disappointments? Your joys?

Do you wonder how you can do this? Well, reading the Word of God and praying will help. It will open your eyes to know God. A real and personal relationship with your Creator.

Your life depends on knowing that you know, that you know . . . God.

🌹“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.

Come, Lord Jesus, Come

This will be written for the generation to come, That a people yet to be created may praise the Lord. For He looked down from His holy height;
From heaven the Lord gazed upon the earth, To hear the groaning of the prisoner, To set free those who were doomed to death, That men may tell of the name of the Lord in Zion And His praise in Jerusalem, When the peoples are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.
Psalms 102:18-22 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.102.18-22.NASB1995

Thus says the Lord, ‘I will return to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts will be called the Holy Mountain.’
Zechariah 8:3 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/zec.8.3.NASB1995

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations will worship before You. For the kingdom is the Lord’s And He rules over the nations.
Psalms 22:27-28 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.22.27-28.NASB1995

“Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘It will yet be that peoples will come, even the inhabitants of many cities. The inhabitants of one will go to another, saying, “Let us go at once to entreat the favor of the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts; I will also go.”
Zechariah 8:20-21 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/zec.8.20-21.NASB1995

God’s Heart

Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His godly ones.
Psalms 116:15 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.116.15.NASB1995

He will rescue (redeem) their life (soul) from oppression and violence, And their blood will be precious in his sight;
Psalms 72:14 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.72.14.NASB1995

I wonder . . . does God’s heart break at the death of a lost soul? For the one who rejects His offer of refuge? Of redemption?

As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
Psalms 18:30 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.18.30.NASB1995

My shield is with God, Who saves the upright in heart. God is a righteous judge, And a God who has indignation every day. If a man does not repent, He will sharpen His sword; He has bent His bow and made it ready.
Psalms 7:10-12 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.7.10-12.NASB1995

Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Cup of Salvation

I shall lift up the cup of salvation And call upon the name of the Lord. I shall pay my vows to the Lord, Oh may it be in the presence of all His people.

What Have I to Give?

What shall I render to the Lord For all His benefits toward me?
Psalms 116:12 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.116.12-14.NASB1995

Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
Psalms 103:2-5 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.103.2-5.NASB1995

What are you willing to give to the Lord?
Your devotion?
      Your praise?
          Your thanks?
               Your obedience?
                    Your life?

For the benefits He has given you?

🌹“Yield now and be at peace with Him; Thereby good will come to you. Please receive instruction from His mouth And establish His words in your heart.
Then the Almighty will be your gold And choice silver to you. For then you will delight in the Almighty And lift up your face to God. You will pray to Him, and He will hear you; And you will pay your vows. You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways.
