Powerful & Mighty

and he (Jehoshaphat) said, “O Lord, the God of our fathers, are You not God in the heavens? And are You not ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? Power and might are in Your hand so that no one can stand against You. ‘Should evil come upon us, the sword, or judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house and before You (for Your name is in this house) and cry to You in our distress, and You will hear and deliver us.’
2 Chronicles 20:6‭, ‬9 NASB

There is a powerful and mighty ruler over all the nations of the world who has the power over anyone or anything that comes at His church. God alone and He is just a prayer away. Where do you place your trust? In whom is your stability and peace.

🌹Seek God. He is waiting and willing to listen.

Fear

Jehoshaphat was afraid and turned his attention to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. So Judah gathered together to seek help from the Lord; they even came from all the cities of Judah to seek the Lord.
2 Chronicles 20:3‭-‬4 NASB

Who do you turn to when you are afraid? We’ve all been there. When fear is near turn and seek the Lord. When the fear is overwhelming or corporately centered we have the church to join forces with, to seek the Lord. Fear and burdens shared with God together brings unity within the church and a closer walk with Jesus.

🌹God created the church so we would not have to walk alone. Seek the Lord personally and corporately.

Week of Prayer Day 5

If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place.
2 Chronicles 7:13‭-‬15 NASB

🌹Hear from heaven, God of all creation, our humble prayer of repentance. Forgive us our sin and wicked ways as we seek Your face.  Heal our land Lord God. Be attentive to our prayers being offered up to You today. For Your glory and kingdom cause. Amen.

Pray for your nation today.

No Partiality

Opening his mouth, Peter said: “I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him”.
Acts 10:34‭-‬35 NASB

Now then let the fear of the Lord be upon you; be very careful what you do, for the Lord our God will have no part in unrighteousness or partiality or the taking of a bribe.”
2 Chronicles 19:7 NASB

For the Lord your God is the God of gods and the Lord of Lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe.
Deuteronomy 10:17 NASB

🌹If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth;
1 Peter 1:17 NASB

For His Namesake

The Lord, the God of their fathers, sent word to them again and again by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place; but they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised His words and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, until there was no remedy.
2 Chronicles 36:15‭-‬16 NASB

God warns before punishment. Why? Because He has great compassion on His people. But there comes a point when enough is enough.

and the Lord has brought it on and done just as He promised. Because you people sinned against the Lord and did not listen to His voice, therefore this thing has happened to you. Jeremiah 40:3 NASB

Remedy:

For I will certainly rescue you, and you will not fall by the sword; but you will have your own life as booty, because you have trusted in Me,” declares the Lord.'” Jeremiah 39:18 NASB

The world is going through some scary, hard, uncertain times. But God. . . It is all about Him. Until we confess, trust and realize all things happen for His namesake we will continue to live in fear and uncertainty.

Then you will know that I am the Lord when I have dealt with you for My name’s sake, not according to your evil ways or according to your corrupt deeds, O house of Israel,” declares the Lord God.'”
Ezekiel 20:44 NASB

He is the way, the truth, the life. It is all about Him. We have the awesome privilege to walk and work along side THE Almighty God, but He will not force Himself upon us. The choice is ours.

🌹Does your life demonstrate the fact that life is all about God? All for His namesake?

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

“Hear, O earth: behold, I am bringing disaster on this people, The fruit of their plans, Because they have not listened to My words, And as for My law, they have rejected it also.” Jeremiah 6:19 NASB

Events in the Bible are unfolding right before our eyes. God speaks through His word. He speaks truth, His desire and instruction for mankind. But if we do not spend time in His word we live a misdirected life. We live “The fruit of their (our) plans”. We reject God when we are not living by His standard found in His word.

“Go, inquire of the Lord for me and for those who are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book which has been found; for great is the wrath of the Lord which is poured out on us because our fathers have not observed the word of the Lord, to do according to all that is written in this book.”
thus says the Lord, “Behold, I am bringing evil on this place and on its inhabitants, even all the curses written in the book which they have read in the presence of the king of Judah. Because they have forsaken Me and have burned incense to other gods, that they might provoke Me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore My wrath will be poured out on this place and it shall not be quenched.”
2 Chronicles 34:21, 24‭-‬25‭ NASB/
2 Kings 22:13, 16‭-‬17‭ NASB

It is not my intent to bring doom and gloom, but to bring your heart back to a personal, intimate relationship with God so you may be strengthened to fulfill His plan, His will, His purpose. God’s blessing will be upon you.

Because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before God when you heard His words against this place and against its inhabitants, and because you humbled yourself before Me, tore your clothes and wept before Me, I truly have heard you,” declares the Lord.
2 Chronicles 34:27/2 Kings 22:19

🌹He is listening. Spend time in prayer. Spend time in His word. Ask God to increase your faith.

Here is an encouraging word:

‘Do you not fear Me?’ declares the Lord . ‘Do you not tremble in My presence? For I have placed the sand as a boundary for the sea, An eternal decree, so it cannot cross over it. Though the waves toss, yet they cannot prevail; Though they roar, yet they cannot cross over it. Jeremiah 5:22 NASB

He tells the waves how far they can go! He is in full control of all that is happening in your life. He can be trusted. Will you surrender to His will today?

The LORD Spoke

The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they paid no attention.
2 Chronicles 33:10 NASB

These are some of the saddest words. “The Lord spoke but no one paid attention”.

THE LORD SPOKE BUT NO ONE PAID ATTENTION!

Do you hear the Lord speaking today? Your Creator speaks. He speaks by means of His Holy Spirit through the word (Bible), prayer (conversation with the Lord) and events happening around. Look around you. What do you see? Has God’s church, His people, turned their backs to Him? Sought their own way?

“Have you not done this to yourself By your forsaking the Lord your God When He led you in the way? Jeremiah 2:17 NASB

God’s church needs to return to Him. His way. His will be done. Bow down before our God in repentance and seek Him. God demands our full allegiance. He desires our complete surrender to His will, purpose and way. He desires to bless His people.

When he (Manasseh) prayed to Him (God), He was moved by his entreaty and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.
2 Chronicles 33:13 NASB

🌹Do you truly know the Lord God? If not, today is the day of surrender to Him.
