Who is The King of Glory?

Oct30

“The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof, the world, and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it on the seas, and established it on the rivers.

Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, nor sworn deceitfully. He will receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory will come in.

Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.

Who is this King of glory?

🌹The Lord of Hosts, He is the King of glory.”

No Other God, Ever

Oct7

“You are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, And there is no savior besides Me. It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, And there was no strange god among you; So you are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “And I am God. Even from eternity I am He, And there is none who can deliver out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it?”

The Goodness of God

Mar13

I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good besides You.”
Psalms 16:2 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.16.2.NASB1995

How much effort do you give to your relationship with Jesus? Is He your #1 desire?  The strength of your heart? Do you long for the nearness of God? Does your walk with the Lord make you want to share the goodness of God with others? Are you clothed in the righteousness of Christ and living out your faith before others?

More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,

With Joyful Thanksgiving

Nov24

O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
For the Lord is a great God And a great King above all gods, In whose hand are the depths of the earth, The peaks of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for it was He who made it, And His hands formed the dry land.
Come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
Psalms 95:1-6 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.95.1-6.NASB1995

My hope is that you will find joy this Thanksgiving week as you gather with family, friends, your church, or anywhere you gather. From small gatherings to big gatherings take time to look over the past year and see where God has cared for you, protected you, led you, and well, blessed you. Thank God and worship Him for His abounding steadfast love; His abundant grace; His provision through all situations of life. What a Mighty and Awesome God He is!

Rejoice Always

Nov11

Rejoice always;
1 Thessalonians 5:16 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/1th.5.16.NASB1995

Rejoice: to be glad; take delight “in”

Rejoice . . .
. over the goodness of God – Exodus 18:9
. before the Lord your God in all your undertakings – Deuteronomy 12:18
. in your undertakings in which the Lord has blessed you – Deuteronomy 12:7
. in God’s salvation – 1 Samuel 2:1
. because the Lord reigns – 1 Chronicles 16:31; Psalm 97:1
. all day in the name of the Lord – Psalm 89:16

Do you take time regularly to delight in the Lord? Has rejoicing in the Lord become a habit in your life?

I have found in my own life that my days go better when I am focused on rejoicing in the Lord. I can find the good in my day. I see where God is at work in me and through me when my heart is set on rejoicing in Him. I can delight in Him as I travel through my day because He opens my eyes to see things that make my heart rejoice in my God. I shall always make it a habit to look to God each day seeking to have Him reveal in my heart something to rejoice in Him.

Rejoice in the day the Lord has made – Psalm 128:24

🌹Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!

God Alone, No Other

Sep15

You alone are the Lord.
You have made the heavens,
The heaven of heavens with all their host,
The earth and all that is on it,
The seas and all that is in them.
You give life to all of them
And the heavenly host bows down before You.
Nehemiah 9:6 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/neh.9.6.NASB1995

For by Him (Jesus) all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.
He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.
Colossians 1:16-18 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/col.1.16-18.NASB1995

Is God first place in your life? In your decisions, your choices, your routines, your everything?

🌹Know therefore today, and take it to your heart, that the Lord, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other.
