Unconfessed Sin

I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord”; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.
Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him.

Sin separates our fellowship with God.
Unconfessed sin makes us vulnerable to the troubles and evils of this world. Therefore let us, who are godly, confess our sin to the Lord while He can be found. Acknowledge our sin as soon as possible so the flood of troubles, temptation, fiery darts of the evil one will not reach us.

🌹If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Times of Refreshing

I came across a testimony I had written back in October of 2020. It was a sweet reminder of what an awesome God we have.

Sometimes we get so caught up in the day to day, the “old grind”, as some have called it, that we forget to notice God. We look inward at all the things going wrong around us and in us. We begin to become self-focused and then comes the “pity party”.

What are we to do then, face to face with our sin of self-focus? When our dependence and focus is on ourselves, we need to confess before God, ask forgiveness, and also ask God to help stop this pity party. Then, listen, accept the forgiveness and wait.

I have found that when I mess up big time and confess, God blesses.

By faith in You, Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner and in need of a Savior. Everyone is a sinner, as Your Scripture reveals, but it also reveals the promise that by faith in Jesus Christ the righteousness of God would be manifested, would be given to those who believe. And those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God overcomes the world. Out of Your love and care for Your creation, You have commanded that we believe in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, Lord God, and love one another. Your commandments are not burdensome but freeing. How awesome a God You are! Blessing me with Your Holy Spirit! Thank You, God, for the assurance of knowing You abide in me because of Your awesome gift of the Holy Spirit. I am no longer in the flesh but in the Spirit. I belong to You, Lord God!!!
Under the power of the Holy Spirit I will testify and proclaim eternal life through Jesus Christ who was with the Father and was being manifested to us, the Savior of the world. I confess that Jesus, the Son of God, has come in the flesh from You God my Father. His life was manifested to us by the Father and seen. His disciples and others throughout generations have testified and proclaimed, even today, the eternal life that comes through Jesus Christ. Jesus, You are the Word become flesh, who dwelt among us, and we saw Your glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. Thank You for making it known, through the Word, that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. The one who does not confess Jesus is not from God. There is no humbleness in the spirit that opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple (church) of God, displaying himself as being God. Protect me, Your people, Your church from those who have the “spirit of the antichrist”. Lord I pray You help us to recognize them by our knowing and remembering Your teachings. Prayer:
Jesus, Savior, Redeemer! Praise and glory to Your name!! You who purifies the souls of people for Your own possession, purify me for Your glory so as to be zealous for good deeds.

I will not conceal my transgressions for I want to prosper for Your kingdom purpose. Shower Your compassion upon me as I confess and forsake my sinful ways.
God, You are so faithful and righteous to forgive my sins and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Thank You Lord for Your compassion, forgiveness, and clothing me in Your righteousness! For this I am truly grateful. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.

Bring your sin, your dark thoughts, your failures, all your secrets to the Light. Let them be revealed by you to Jesus, the Light of the world and let Him fill you with His light so you may shine His Light to the world.

If therefore your whole body is full of light, with no dark part in it, it will be wholly illumined, as when the lamp illumines you with its rays.”     Luke 11:36 NASB

Haven’t we all been there? We are gung-ho in His presence or when amongst other brothers and sisters. But what happens when we are alone, confronted with the truth? Whether through the conviction of the Holy Spirit through the word of God or out in the world amongst aggressive unbelievers.

Christian brothers and sisters, we have been silent too long. We have been passive when confronted with our faith. It is time to stand for Truth. Jesus is the Truth.

Will you deny Him when confronted with your faith? Now is the time to ask yourself and to prepare for persecution of your belief.

🌹 Is God deeply abiding in you? Are you experiencing Him daily? Without the Holy Spirit abiding in you there will be no standing strong. Surrender now to His will. No more denying.

“Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven. Matthew 10:32‭-‬33 NASB

The Lord, the God of their fathers, sent word to them again and again by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place; but they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised His words and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, until there was no remedy.

God warns before punishment. Why? Because He has great compassion on His people. But there comes a point when enough is enough.

and the Lord has brought it on and done just as He promised. Because you people sinned against the Lord and did not listen to His voice, therefore this thing has happened to you. Jeremiah 40:3 NASB

Remedy:

For I will certainly rescue you, and you will not fall by the sword; but you will have your own life as booty, because you have trusted in Me,” declares the Lord.'” Jeremiah 39:18 NASB

The world is going through some scary, hard, uncertain times. But God. . . It is all about Him. Until we confess, trust and realize all things happen for His namesake we will continue to live in fear and uncertainty.

Then you will know that I am the Lord when I have dealt with you for My name’s sake, not according to your evil ways or according to your corrupt deeds, O house of Israel,” declares the Lord God.'”
Ezekiel 20:44 NASB

He is the way, the truth, the life. It is all about Him. We have the awesome privilege to walk and work along side THE Almighty God, but He will not force Himself upon us. The choice is ours.

🌹Does your life demonstrate the fact that life is all about God? All for His namesake?

Do You Believe?

King Agrippa, do you believe the Prophets? I know that you do.” Agrippa replied to Paul, “In a short time you will persuade me to   become a  Christian.” And Paul said, “I would wish to God, that whether in a short or long time, not only you, but also all who hear me this day, might become such as I am, except for these chains.” — Acts 26:27-29

Are you a Christian? One who believes that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross washing away your sin, was buried, and 3 days later rose from the dead? Do you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus? Will you confess Him to others?

Are you one who doesn’t yet believe? Are you desiring the freedom from shame and guilt? Believe now, confessing your sin before God and your need of Him in your life. Trust Jesus with your life and confess Him as your Lord. Today is the day to choose life. Eternal life. Won’t you come? Come to Jesus?
