When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away Through my groaning all day long. For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality was drained away as with the fever heat of summer. Selah.
I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, βI will confess my transgressions to the Lordβ; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.

God IN You?
We have come to know and have believed the love which God has (in) for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.

Wedding day. Two excited, anxious hearts awaiting the “I Do’s”. The groom stands at the front of the church. Here comes the bride to join him. They confess their love to one another and at the end of the service they go live their own lives. . . Wait. . . Rewind.
Is this the way we are when it comes to the marriage of Christ and the church? Christ and a professing believer?
“I walked the aisle.” “I confessed that Jesus is Lord and that He was raised from the dead.” Now that I’m saved I’m insured . . . I mean assured a place in heaven, right?
At salvation our life, our walk with Christ, begins. It is an everyday, growing all the way, surrendered relationship with God. It is daily communication – prayer, Bible reading. It is confessing the work of Christ in our lives – testimonies. It is bringing others to the altar of confession for redemption.
It is living β
so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Romans 10:9β-β¬10 NASB
So, have you confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead? Then you are saved. . . Now the transformation begins.
Remember the lump of clay from yesterday (September 18, 2023)? Well, clay is now placed on a spinning wheel and water is put onto the clay to cover it. . . Transformation can then begin.
Baptism follows confession and belief in Jesus Christ. It is the proclamation of our salvation.
Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:4 NASB
As the clay is covered in water, we as confessing believers are baptized in water.
πΉPeter said to them, βRepent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Unconfessed Sin
I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, βI will confess my transgressions to the Lordβ; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.
Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him.
Psalms 32:5β-β¬6 NASB
Sin separates our fellowship with God.
Unconfessed sin makes us vulnerable to the troubles and evils of this world. Therefore let us, who are godly, confess our sin to the Lord while He can be found. Acknowledge our sin as soon as possible so the flood of troubles, temptation, fiery darts of the evil one will not reach us.
πΉIf we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Times of Refreshing
I came across a testimony I had written back in October of 2020. It was a sweet reminder of what an awesome God we have.
Sometimes we get so caught up in the day to day, the “old grind”, as some have called it, that we forget to notice God. We look inward at all the things going wrong around us and in us. We begin to become self-focused and then comes the “pity party”.
What are we to do then, face to face with our sin of self-focus? When our dependence and focus is on ourselves, we need to confess before God, ask forgiveness, and also ask God to help stop this pity party. Then, listen, accept the forgiveness and wait.
I have found that when I mess up big time and confess, God blesses.
I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, βI will confess my transgressions to the Lordβ; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.
Psalms 32:5 NASB
How blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit!
Psalms 32:2 NASB
πΉTherefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;

Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
1 John 5:5 NASB
By faith in You, Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner and in need of a Savior. Everyone is a sinner, as Your Scripture reveals, but it also reveals the promise that by faith in Jesus Christ the righteousness of God would be manifested, would be given to those who believe. And those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God overcomes the world. Out of Your love and care for Your creation, You have commanded that we believe in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, Lord God, and love one another. Your commandments are not burdensome but freeing. Thank You for loving me and for Your Scripture that guides me, shows me how to walk in step with You through obedience. To You, Almighty Sovereign God, be glory forever, amen.
