Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints (holy ones, i.e., God’s people) in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi* (a leading city of the district of Macedonia, a Roman colony) including the overseers and deacons: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:1-2 NASB
🌹As a holy one in You, Christ Jesus, I seek Your favor, not that of mankind, as Your bond-servant. I pray Lord God for Your called overseers who shepherd Your church which was purchased with Your own blood. I pray for Your called deacons who care for the members of Your body. But God, being rich in mercy, because of Your great love with which You loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, You made us alive together with Christ. By grace we have been saved, and raised up with You, and seated us with You in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come You might show the surpassing riches of Your grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace we have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a wonderful gift of You, God; not as a result of works, so that we may not boast. Lord, lift up Your countenance upon us, And give us peace.’ Amen Galatians 1:10, Acts 20:28, Ephesians 2:4-9, Numbers 6:26 NASB
Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I make the land a desolation and a waste because of all their abominations which they have committed. Ezekiel 33:29 NASB
Ezekiel, under the direction of God, spoke to the Israel nation warning them to obey God’s command and turn back to Him.
What is a Pastor? A man called of God to speak His word. Both Prophet and Pastor are called to speak God’s word.
Our responsibility is to listen and obey. We are blessed at this period of time to have God’s written word and the Holy Spirit to be able to discern the truth coming from the mouth of a Pastor. Is it truth? If you are reading your Bible and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you will be able to accurately discern the truth.
What is your habit of church attendance? Is your Bible open? Are you relying upon the Holy Spirit to discern the words? Are you listening and ready to obey?
Or are you just attending for the sake of attending?
“But as for you, son of man, your fellow citizens who talk about you by the walls and in the doorways of the houses, speak to one another, each to his brother, saying, ‘Come now and hear what the message is which comes forth from the Lord.’ They come to you as people come, and sit before you as My people and hear your words, but they do not do them, for they do the lustful desires expressed by their mouth, and their heart goes after their gain. Ezekiel 33:30-31 NASB
🌹”They come to you as people come, and sit before you as My people and hear your words, but they do not do them” Obedience requires action.
