Jehovah Tsuri: the Lord my Rock

One of my most favorite passages of scripture is Exodus 33. It is there that Moses asks to see God’s glory. God agrees to let Moses see Him hindsight, for God’s glory is too immense for any mortal to see His full glory. Moses is placed in the cleft of the rock. As God passes by He places His hand over the opening until Moses is safe to look.

Then the Lord said, “Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand there on the rock; and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.

God protected Moses in the rock. If God can protect in the rock, He can certainly protect as the rock.

My Stronghold

God is alive! His Holy Spirit lives in me. He is my solid rock when the storm rages. He is my fortress when the enemy attacks. He is my deliverer from the fear of death. He is my endurance in this race of life. He is my Redeemer.

One day Jesus will return. Are you ready to meet Him?

As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last He will take His stand on the earth.

God is a 24 hour God. He is always available. When we walk with God, we walk morning and night. We are His to be used by 24 hours a day. How many blessings and His glory do we miss because we are caught up in our own ways instead of His way. It is good to give thanks to the Lord all day long and sing, even if it is not verbally. Then you will see His lovingkindness and declare it!
