Trust Without Fear

In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man (flesh) do to me?
In God, whose word I praise, In the Lord, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust (or trust without fear), I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?
For You have delivered my soul from death, Indeed my feet from stumbling, So that I may walk before God In the light of the living (life).
Psalms 56:4‭, ‬10‭-‬11‭, ‬13 NASB

As God’s child should I not instinctively  cling with trust to my Father?
This brings my mind back to my child-rearing days when my little ones would cling to me when a stranger was near. It was okay for them to laugh at someone making faces at them as long as they were in the arms of their parent in whom they trusted.
When they were learning to walk, they would hold tight to my hand. They instinctively trusted the hand that would hold them steady as they walked without stumbling.

God has delivered my soul from death, so that I may walk before Him in the light of life without fear of what man can do to me. Yes, in God, whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid!

The Lord is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?
Psalms 118:6 NASB

so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”
Hebrews 13:6 NASB

🌹Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Matthew 10:28 NASB

1 John 2:9-11

The one who says he is in the Light and yet hates his brother is in the darkness until now. The one who loves his brother abides in the Light and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
1 John 2:9‭-‬11 NASB

🌹Jesus, Light of my life. I praise Your presence in my life and thank You for opening my eyes to see the Light of the gospel of Your glory, the image of God.
Lord God, You have purified me from my sin. Under Your guidance and instruction I will
apply all diligence in my faith, supplying  moral excellence, and in my moral excellence, knowledge, and in my knowledge, self-control, and in my self-control, perseverance, and in my perseverance, godliness, and in my godliness, brotherly kindness, and in my brotherly kindness, love. I pray these qualities are in me and are increasing so they will neither render me useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of You, my Lord Jesus Christ. Without these qualities I would be blind, walking in darkness. Let me never forget the purification from sin nor Your fellowship,  Jesus. Those who walk in darkness do not know where they are going for the darkness has blinded them.  I shall walk in Your Light without stumbling for You abide in me. Because You abide in me, I can love my brother/sister. To and for Your glory I pray, amen.
2 Corinthians 4:4/2 Peter 1:5-9/1 John 1:16/John 12:35

Ways of the Lord

Whoever is wise, let him understand these things;

Whoever is discerning, let him know them.
For the ways of the Lord are right,
And the righteous will walk in them,
But transgressors will stumble in them. — Hosea 14:9

Are you stumbling along through life? Seek Jesus and walk in His righteousness. He leads on a well lit path of discernment and wisdom.

Falling

When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, Because the Lord is the One who holds his hand. — Psalm 37:24

We all stumble at times and sometimes we fall. We beat ourselves up more than our God does. He sustains us with His hand. As I read this I remember holding my children’s hands as they were learning to walk and they would stumble a little and there they would be dangling and swinging from my hand but not touching the ground. They had not skinned their knees or worse yet hurled headlong onto the ground. Just as we care for our children, our Father cares even more for us. Take the step. If you fall, know that our Lord is holding on tight to your hand. He is there all the way.
