Worship (3)

Sing praise to the Lord, you His godly ones,

And give thanks to His holy name.

— Psalm 30:4

Be glad in the Lord, you righteous ones,
And give thanks to His holy name.

— Psalm 97:12

Praise Him and be glad this day as you give thanks to His holy name. What a great way to start a new week.

I AM

God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”God, furthermore, said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all generations. — Exodus 3:14-15

Your name, O Lord, is everlasting, Your remembrance, O Lord, throughout all generations. — Psalm 135:13

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. — Hebrews 13:8

God is. God was. God will always be. God is I AM. Forever. Everlasting for all generations. The same . . . yesterday . . . today . . . forever!

I don’t know about you but I can use some consistency in my life and it’s nice that we can pass that along to the next generation.

Hope your day is filled with peace knowing the great I AM.

Exalted

The fear of man brings a snare, But he who trusts in the Lord will be exalted. — Proverbs 29:25

Hmmm. Brings a smile to my face. I trust the Lord.

Exalt yourself in me as I serve You, my Lord, my Savior, my Redeemer, my everything. Amen.

You Instruct Me?

Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said,

“Who is this that darkens counsel
By words without knowledge?
“Now gird up your loins like a man,
And I will ask you, and you instruct Me! — Job 38:1-3

I don’t believe that there is a more humbling set of verses in the Bible than these. I know I have posted these verses before. I’d almost have to say they are my favorite. I find great encouragement and security that I know the One who not only created everything but that He has control over His creation (as you see in the following verses of Job 38). He has knowledge far beyond what I could ever attempt to gain.

He is worthy to be praised, worshiped, trusted, exalted, adored, etc.

Spirit of God, The Almighty

“The Spirit of God has made me,
And the breath of the Almighty gives me life. — Job 33:4

An encouraging word for your day.

Where Is Wisdom And Understanding?

“But where can wisdom be found?
And where is the place of understanding?
“Man does not know its value,
Nor is it found in the land of the living.
“The deep says, ‘It is not in me’;
And the sea says, ‘It is not with me.’
“Pure gold cannot be given in exchange for it,
Nor can silver be weighed as its price.
“It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir,
In precious onyx, or sapphire.
“Gold or glass cannot equal it,
Nor can it be exchanged for articles of fine gold.
“Coral and crystal are not to be mentioned;
And the acquisition of wisdom is above that of pearls.
“The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it,
Nor can it be valued in pure gold.
“Where then does wisdom come from?
And where is the place of understanding?
“Thus it is hidden from the eyes of all living
And concealed from the birds of the sky.
“Abaddon and Death say,
‘With our ears we have heard a report of it.’

“God understands its way,
And He knows its place.
“For He looks to the ends of the earth
And sees everything under the heavens.
“When He imparted weight to the wind
And meted out the waters by measure,
When He set a limit for the rain
And a course for the thunderbolt,
Then He saw it and declared it;
He established it and also searched it out.
“And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom;
And to depart from evil is understanding.’” — Job 28:12-28

Whose Spirit?

“To whom have you uttered words?
And whose spirit was expressed through you? — Job 26:4

In prayer this morning. Praying for the church. Praying that the church would see the need to put and keep Jesus as the head, to keep Him on the throne. That all decisions would be made under the influence of the Holy Spirit. . .

Then I read this verse. I could ask this question, and should, a thousand times a day, “whose spirit is expressed through me”?

Throughout your day, whose spirit is exposed through you?

Worship

All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord,
And they shall glorify Your name. — Psalm 86:9

It’s inevitable, so why not start now.

Refined As Gold

“But He knows the way I take;
When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
11 “My foot has held fast to His path;
I have kept His way and not turned aside.
12 “I have not departed from the command of His lips;
I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food. — Job 23:10-12

How about you? Can you say that?

so that the proof of your faith, being  more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; — 1 Peter 1:7

Redeemer

“As for me, I know that my *Redeemer lives,
And at the last He will take His stand on the earth. — Job 19:25

* Vindicator, defender; literally kinsman

“Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven,
And my advocate is on high. — Job 16:19

For their Redeemer is strong;
He will plead their case against you.

— Proverbs 23:11

“Their Redeemer is strong, the Lord of hosts is His name;
He will vigorously plead their case — Jeremiah 50:34a

Are we not blessed to have Jesus as our Redeemer? Justice may not be seen right away but know that Jesus is pleading the cause of His children. Jesus will be victorious because He has already overcome.

These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33

You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. — 1 John 4:4

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. — 1 John 5:4

Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? — 1 John 5:5
