Faithful Creator

Therefore, those also who suffer according to the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right.
1 Peter 4:19 NASB

🌹What better place to be than in the faithful hands of our Creator when we suffer according to His will. Just like Jesus before His crucifixion .  .  .
saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.”
Luke 22:42 NASB

Suffering Christian

If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.
1 Peter 4:14, 16 NASB

But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.
John 15:21 NASB

Expect it. For the sake of His name, the name Jesus, you will suffer. Rejoice that you have been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name. (Matthew 5:11; Luke 6:22; Acts 5:41)

🌹 The glory of God is Jesus and His glory rests on us in His Holy Spirit. Because we know the One who sent Jesus, let us glorify God in the name of Jesus through our suffering!

Rejoice in Your Testing

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation.
1 Peter 4:12‭-‬13 NASB

Praise God for testing in our lives…

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Philippians 3:10‭-‬11 NASB

God may we…

always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.
2 Corinthians 4:10 NASB

🌹 Succumb to testing that we may rejoice with exultation, attain the resurrection from the dead and that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our bodies.

Speaking and Serving

Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:11 NASB

Do you belong to God?
Are the words of your mouth and the meditation of your heart acceptable in His sight? Are you serving in the strength of His might? Are you doing ALL to the glory of God?

🌹Have we truly surrendered our words and our service to God?

Continually Seeking Him,

Surrendered?

Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.
1 Peter 4:1‭-‬2 NASB

Jesus suffered in the flesh for our sake. He showed us our purpose — to cease from the ways of the world. He is the way.
Have you ever really weighed the weight of your sin? Thought about how damaging sin is to your life? Have you surrendered your life, your flesh to God? Are you seeking God’s will in all you say and do? Or are you still living in and for your flesh – “me”?

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.  .  . Matthew 6:33

🌹 Have you surrendered your will, your way, your purpose, your life to God?

Beyond What I Can Handle

For we do not want you to be unaware, brethren, of our affliction which came to us in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life; indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead; who delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us,
2 Corinthians 1:8‭-‬10 NASB

Do not be deceived. In this life you may experience affliction beyond what YOU can handle. Why? Because life is hard but the real reason is so that our dependence will be on GOD.
There have been a few people in my life that have experienced extreme loss and anguish and I wonder how they can still function in life. Their faith was awe inspiring to me. They leaned on God and hoped in Him for deliverance and peace.

🌹For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.
1 Timothy 4:10 NASB

Written For Us

For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 15:4‭-‬6 NASB

🌹Are you disheartened, discouraged, feel like giving up? The word of God was written for our instruction. Within the pages of your Bible you’ll find hope so that you may persevere and be encouraged.
What’s stopping you?

Lord God, draw us to Your holy Word for the hope we need. In the perseverance and encouragement you give help us to be of the same mind with one another, the mind of Christ, so that we may use it to be glory to You, our God and Father.  Amen

To The Church

“Do we not all have one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously each against his brother so as to profane the covenant of our fathers?
Malachi 2:10 NASB

yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.
1 Corinthians 8:6 NASB

The Church, the body of Christ, exists for Him and through Him. One body with God created purposes in the body. If we exist for and through Christ for His purpose and glory, why do we deal treacherously with one another?

🌹Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Colossians 3:15 NASB

Who is Jesus?

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 1:5‭-‬6 NASB

🌹Jesus, faithful witness.
Jesus, first born of the dead by His resurrection opening the door of eternity to us.
Jesus, King and Ruler.
Jesus, who loves us and released us from the bondage of sin by His shed blood.
Jesus, who made us a kingdom of priests to God the Father.
Take time to contemplate and meditate on these facts and you will be able to truthfully say:
To Jesus be the glory and the dominion forever and ever.

Pleasing God

For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Romans 8:6‭-‬8 NASB

For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Galatians 6:8 NASB

for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Romans 8:13 NASB

🌹Where is your mindset? What are you reaping? It’s a life or death choice whether to please God.
