Confident Boldness Through Christ

For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.”

What an example Jesus sets for us. He speaks what the Father speaks and what the Father speaks is eternal life.

We also can have such confidence through . . .

Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him, to God
Eph. 3:11b-12

Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
2 Corinthians 3:4‭-‬6 NASB

He is the one who has helped us tell others about his new agreement to save them. We do not tell them that they must obey every law of God or die; but we tell them there is life for them from the Holy Spirit. The old way, trying to be saved by keeping the Ten Commandments, ends in death; in the new way, the Holy Spirit gives them life.

But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.

Not only has God given me life, He has given me LIFE!!!! A life eternal. A life of being cared for, taught, led, protected. A life of peace, joy, love, patience, kindness, goodness.

So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
1 Corinthians 15:45 NASB

🌹 God has given me His Spirit. His own Holy Spirit. What more could I desire?

Is the Holy Spirit alive in you?

And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. Little children, guard yourselves from idols.

that He is true
that we are in Him, the Son of God, Jesus Christ
that He hears us in whatever we ask,
that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

God of truth and eternal life, You are the only true God. This is eternal life, that we may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. Jesus, who came from the Father, Son of God, we know because You, Lord God, have given understanding to those who believe that Jesus is true and we are in Him.
I pray asking forgiveness Lord of any idolatrous way in me. Help me to recognize and flee from the idolatry of this world that can so easily entangle. I choose to turn from idols to a living true God.
Lord I also pray You would open my mind to understand the Scriptures. I long to know You more, understand Your way, to follow in obedience to Your word. I am honored and privileged to be Your child. Thank You, Father, for my Advocate, Jesus Christ the righteous.

🌹Faithful God of Your promised word. Thank You for Your Word. The Word made flesh and the written word that promises eternal life to all who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Believing, we may have life in His name today and forever.
I am confident, Lord Jesus, that coming before You with a clean heart, one that does not condemn me because I keep Your commandments and do what is pleasing in Your sight, I will receive whatever I ask for from You. With a clean heart my requests will be according to Your will and I am confident that You will hear and answer so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 1 John 5:10‭-‬11 NASB

God of all creation, Your plan is perfect. You created mankind and called them to love, trust and obey You. . . We failed and fell.

But God. You made a way for all mankind to reconcile this fallen relationship. You sent Jesus, Your Son. By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. And this is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life. He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

GOD, I pray for family near and far; for co-workers, neighbors, acquaintances to know that in Jesus is life, and this life is the Light of men. He who believes in Jesus is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 

Thank You God for Your Spirit who testifies with my spirit that I am a child of Yours. God of amazing grace. With a grateful heart I bow before You in awe and wonder at how I was blessed to hear Jesus’s word and believe in You Father. I rejoice in Your Son, whom You sent, because I have been granted eternal life! I have passed out of death into life and do not come into judgment. Because of Your word the world hates me, just as You were hated Jesus. Those who bring judgement do not know love and thus abide in death. Hallelujah we who love the brethren have passed from death to life and abides in the Light (Jesus) where there is no cause for stumbling. Let us proclaim to all people that we are disciples of Jesus Christ by showing our love for one another! Praise the name of the Father! Praise the name of Jesus! Praise the name of the Holy Spirit! God of promises never broken. When You make promises, You keep them. Your will, Father, is that everyone who beholds Your Son and believes in Him will have eternal life. You have promised that You Yourself will raise them up on the last day so that whoever believes will in Jesus has eternal life. Thank You for the hope I have through Jesus for eternity with my awesome God to Your praise and glory and my anticipation of Your promise fulfilled. In Jesus name hallelujah and amen!

God of revelation who unveils the mystery of Christ and His manifestation. I praise You for the testimony of John who saw and testified of the manifestation of Christ. His testimony is true; and he is still telling the truth, through Your word, so that all who hear may also believe. Believe the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to Your saints, to whom You willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in me, the hope of glory. Hallelujah to You, my Deliverer and hope!
Holy God, may I always carry about in my body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in my body. For I know we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
Father, I pray, asking to be a letter of Christ to those around me, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. May I be a walking evidence of Christ living in me, the Light of life to all who are around me.
God, I thank You for eternal life and the promise that no one will snatch me out of Your hand. In humble adoration as Your servant, amen in Jesus name.

True God and Eternal Life

And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

God, our Father, we love Your Son because He had come from You. He did not come on His own initiative but in obedience to Your sending Him. Jesus, who was manifested, seen, and testified of has been proclaimed to us for eternal life. He was with You Father and manifested to us. In sending Your Son, He opened our minds to understand the Scriptures through the power of Your Holy Spirit. Through Your Holy Scriptures we may know You, the only true God and Jesus Christ through whom we have eternal life.  Although we have never seen You, our Father at any time, Jesus, who is at Your bosom, has explained You.
Father, we know whoever denies Your Son does not have You; the one who confesses the Son also has You, our Father.
Thank You Father for sending Your Son in whose name we pray. Amen.
