The Lord Be Magnified

Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let those who love Your salvation say continually, “The Lord be magnified!” Psalms 40:16 NASB

What is your “rejoice” manometer reading these days?

Pressure of everyday life can be overwhelming. Then thrown in there is disappointment, fear of the outcome of situations, uncertainties all around us because nothing is “normal” these days.

Where do you turn? What is it that you are seeking? In an uncertain world, there is only One who can give you peace from the pressures of life. Seek the Lord. Let Him be your joy and gladness. Seek and you will find.

In Christ alone is salvation. Are you assured of your salvation in Him? Are you grateful for it? If you love your salvation, make it known. Continually seek to magnify Him in words and actions for others to see and your heart will rejoice in God.

ūüĆĻThose who seek God can’t help but rejoice in Him and magnify Him to the world.

If you are questioning your salvation, seek out a strong Christian who can guide, mentor, and pray with you and for you.

Rejoice and Weep

Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. — Romans 12:15

Be¬†devoted to one another in brotherly love;¬†give preference to one another¬†in honor;¬†not lagging behind in diligence,¬† fervent in spirit,¬†serving the Lord; — Romans 12:10-11

Serve the Lord, in devoted love for others, by identifying and sharing with them in their joys and sorrows.

Be Devoted

Be¬†devoted to one another in brotherly love;¬†give preference to one another¬†in honor;¬†not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit,¬†serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope,¬†persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,¬†contributing to the needs of the¬†saints, practicing hospitality. — Romans 12:10-13

I don’t know about you but these words are pretty convicting. Reminds me of the verse, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”. I have sinned and fallen short but that gives me no excuse to give up, quit trying. I must devote, be diligent, fervent (passionate), serving, rejoicing, persevering, contributing and practicing everyday these Words of God.

They are all action words that demand I participate in my walk with Jesus. It begins with loving the Lord with my whole being, with all I’ve got. That enables me, by His love, to love others. By loving others I am motivated to serve them, pray for them, contribute to their well-being. In serving I honor others but also our Lord. In Him we find hope and persevere because of that hope.

So honor God today by practicing His Word. His Word is wisdom for life. May God bless your endeavors to serve Him.

Exulting Joy

But let all who take refuge in You be glad,
Let them ever sing for joy;
And may You shelter them,
That those who¬†love Your name may exult in You. — Psalm 5:11

Sometimes we just need to be reminded to run to the Lord. Thankful that God’s Word is there to lead us. When we’re down and our heart is heavy, no matter the reason, we can take refuge in the Lord. It is there that we find gladness, joy that makes our heart sing and the realization that in Him we can rejoice.

Do you love the Lord? Seek His shelter and you will delight, glory and revel in His name.

To God be the glory! For in our despair He brings joy as we dwell on Him.

Jesus Is Coming

Therefore having¬†overlooked¬†the times of ignorance, God is¬†now declaring to men that all¬†people¬†everywhere should repent,¬†because He has fixed¬†a day in which¬†He will judge¬†the world in righteousness¬†through a Man whom He has¬†appointed, having furnished proof to all men¬†by¬†raising Him from the dead.‚ÄĚ — Acts 17:30-31

Are you ready to receive the King of kings? He came once to bring salvation and redemption. The time is now to repent. When Jesus returns it will be for judgment. Do you know Jesus? He is the righteousness by which you will judged. Know Him and be saved from eternal condemnation.

Christians can truly rejoice at Christmas time knowing Jesus is the Christ. Christians can continue to rejoice because of the righteousness poured out on them by the blood of Jesus. Christians rejoice knowing that Jesus is coming again. O glorious day!

Are you ready?

Spread The Word

For so the Lord has commanded us,

‚ÄėI¬†have placed You as a¬†light for the Gentiles,
That You may¬†bring salvation to the end of the earth.‚Äô‚ÄĚ

When the Gentiles heard this, they¬†began¬†rejoicing and glorifying¬†the word of¬†the Lord; and as many as¬†had been appointed to eternal life believed.¬†And¬†the word of the Lord was being spread through the whole region. — Acts 13:47-49

Oh that we would be so excited about the Word of God! So excited as to rejoice and glorify His Word. So excited and joyful in our salvation that comes by the hearing of the Word. Are you hearing the Word proclaimed today?

As we hear the Word it will spread. Interesting that within the word “spread” is the word “read”. Today many gather to hear the Word proclaimed but tomorrow will you be reading the Word? What about the rest of the week?

Read daily and let the power of God’s Word spread through you to others that they may rejoice and glorify the Word, Jesus Christ.

Good News

And we¬†preach to you the good news of¬†the promise made to the fathers,¬†that God has fulfilled this¬†promise¬†to our children in that He¬†raised up Jesus, as it is also written in the second Psalm, ‚ÄėYou are My Son; today I have begotten You.‚Äô — Acts 13:32-33

Celebrate, it’s Christmas!!!! What better reason to celebrate than the fulfillment of prophesy in Jesus Christ, the only begotten of the Father. The promise of God to all generations that came in a humble stable.

The precious baby that would sacrifice His life for us. The good news of His resurrection all wrapped up in a beautiful gift and all for those who will believe.

The only begotten Son freely given. Will you accept the gift?

Jesus. The best gift you will receive this Christmas. Celebrate!!

Worthy To Suffer

They¬†took his advice; and after calling the apostles in, they¬†flogged them and ordered them not to¬†speak in the name of Jesus, and¬†then¬†released them.¬†41¬†So they went on their way from the presence of the¬†Council,¬†rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame¬†for¬†His¬†name. — Acts 5:40-41

Wow. . . Rejoice? . . Really? After a whip beating? Here are apostles rejoicing over being beaten because they suffered shame for the name above all names, the name of Jesus. They rejoiced over being considered worthy to suffer? How real was their faith? So real they were willing to suffer for it.

I wonder. . . How real is my faith? Am I willing to suffer shame for the sake of my families salvation, my neighbors, my co-workers, etc.? Am I willing to suffer for the glory of the Lord? He was willing to suffer for me.

My Song

‚ÄúThe Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father‚Äôs God, and I will extol Him. — Exodus 15:2

I sing because He is my song. I endure because He is my strength. I praise Him because He is God. He is my everything, my all. Without Him I am nothing and can do nothing. Because of this, He is my salvation. Rejoice today because He is who He says He is: “I AM“.
