Thankful for Family

Many people in America will be gathering tomorrow with family to share a family meal together. There may be a mingle of friends present and a time of sharing the years blessings of thankfulness. As we gather may we remember that God created families and thank Him for His perfect design of family.

“Do we not all have one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously each against his brother so as to profane the covenant of our fathers?
Malachi 2:10 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/mal.2.10.NASB1995

My prayer for you and your family today:

🙏For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
Ephesians 3:14-19 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/eph.3.14-19.NASB1995

🌹To our glorious Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You and Amen.

If you do not know the Father of the largest family on earth, please reach out to someone who is part of the family and ask them to introduce you to the Father.

Rewarding Corporate Prayer

They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Acts 2:42 NASB

Continually. Devoted. Prayer.
Continually devoting themselves to prayer. The Bible, knowing and practicing it, is important to the body of Christ, His church. Fellowship and the breaking of bread together is also important. And Prayer.
Prayer is where we are witness to the movement of God. In us individually. In others. Most importantly in the body, working together to accomplish the will of the Lord God. His kingdom come. His will be done.

Private prayer has it’s reward but also does corporate prayer. Rewards of corporate prayer:

Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Acts 2:43‭-‬47 NASB

🌹Wow! The power of sincere, devoted, corporate prayer in the fulfilling of God’s kingdom will.

1 John 1:6-7

If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 1:6‭-‬7 NASB

I once heard it said that doctors are not perfect and that is why they are in medical “practice”.
I can relate to that. I am not perfect so I only “practice” the truth of God. After all God does say, “They who practice truth comes to the Light”. And when we do, Hallelujah, our deeds are revealed as having been performed in God. Did you catch that little word “IN”? So let us, house of God, walk in the light of the Lord, in fellowship with one another, bringing glory to our God.
John 3:21/Isaiah 2:5 NASB

Thanks be to You, my God, who always leads in triumph in Christ, and manifests, through Your beloved people, the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Jesus in every place.
God, may I always testify in Your Holy Spirit the truth in Christ with an attitude in myself which was also in Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. Glory, glory, Hallelujah!! Amen.
2 Corinthians 2:14/Romans 9:1/Philippians 2:5/Titus 2:14 NASB

1 John 1:3-4

what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.
1 John 1:3-4 NASB

Joy made complete. What is joy made complete?
When the fellowship I have with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ is shared with you — my family, my neighbors, my co-workers, anyone who knows and loves Jesus as I do. That is why I share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I came to the realization of my need for Christ at the age of 15. At that time I thought myself a Christian. I went to church. I was a good, polite and moral young lady. At 11 I took a class to learn how to be a Christian and was baptized. I was now good to go.  .  . live as I wanted to. I had a place reserved for me in Heaven. No Hell for me.
Until God set me straight at 15 with a movie called, “A Theif in the Night”. That movie shook my world and made it clear that living a Christian life is more than having a mansion reserved for me in heaven. Or a happy life or being a moral person. The Bible says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.”  – Proverbs 1:7 NASB
The fear of eternal condemnation woke me up to my need for Christ. My need of a relationship with Him. It has not always been easy but it has all been worth the journey since I bowed before my Savior Jesus Christ at my bedside at the age of 15 and gave my life to Him, making Him Lord of my life.
Now I am reminded that,  “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Galatians 2:20

Lord God, my Father, I thank You for that faithful, fateful night You called me to salvation, a true salvation. I thank You for not giving up on me but continually perfecting Your workmanship in me, Your creation over the years. I am grateful for the hard times that have strengthened me, making me more dependent on You. I thank You for the times of rejoicing because  of the good work You are doing in me and through me. I thank You faithful God for calling me into fellowship with Your Son, Jesus Christ, my Lord. May I never stop speaking about what I have heard or seen of Your mighty work unto salvation. And I pray, Lord God that You would use this testimony to touch lives for salvation, which is Your will, and for Your glory!! In Jesus name, amen.
Ephesians 2:10/1 Corinthians 1:9/Acts 4:20 NASB

🌹But the testimony which I receive is not from man, but I say these things so that you may be saved.
John 5:34 NASB

Philippians 3:10-11

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Philippians 3:10‭-‬11 NASB

God of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Eternal Lord and King. Powerful God over death and giver of the resurrected life found in Jesus. Glory, honor and praise be to You. I pray Lord to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent; for in Him is my eternal life established. Multiply in me the knowledge of You, God, and of Jesus, my Lord so that I count all things as lost in view of the surpassing value of knowing Jesus. Your divine power, has granted to me everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Jesus who called me by his own glory and excellence.
I pray I become united with You, Jesus, in the likeness of Your death so that I may also be in the likeness of Your resurrection. I have been crucified in You and I will one day know the power of Your resurrection. Jesus I pray to persevere, as You did, to suffer with You so that I may also be glorified with You.
Lord may I not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I will finish my course and the ministry which I received from You, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God. I had the sentence of death within myself so that I would not trust in myself but in You, God, who raises the dead. Hallelujah!! Praise God!!! I will carry about in my body the dying of my Savior, so that Your life, Jesus, may be manifested in my body for the sake of others and to Your glory! Amen.
John 17:3/2 Peter 1:2/Philippians 3:8/2 Peter 1:3/Galatians 2:20/Romans 6:5/Romans 8:17/Acts 20:25/2 Corinthians 1:92 Corinthians 4:10 NASB

🌹For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Philippians 2:1-2

Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being (that you be) of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.
Philippians 2:1‭-‬2 NASB

Because of Your sacrifice on the cross, Christ Jesus, I crucify the flesh with its passions and desires. I find comfort in Your love for me and through fellowship with the Spirit desire to live with and also walk by the Spirit. Make my heart tender and compassionate toward Your church, Your people. I pray we can be a people of the same mind, loving one another as You have commanded us to do, and work together with one mind and purpose for the church, kingdom and Your glory, Lord God. Amen
Philippians 2:1-2/Galatians 5:24‭-‬25 NASB

🌹The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

Friendship

For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established (or strengthened); that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.
Romans 1:11‭-‬12 NASB

Do you have some friends like this? Experiencing a longing to see and spend time with friends who are of the same Spirit? The Holy Spirit in each of us.

For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”
Matthew 18:20 NASB

The gathering together to encourage one another, use our spiritual gifts to strengthen one another, encourages and strengthens each saint in the faith and is drawing Jesus into the midst of the gathering.

I hope you have some close saints in your life that you can count on for encouragement, prayer, uninhibited fellowship where the Holy Spirit is able to move in you and others for edification, encouragement, counsel all to the glory of God and His manifestation in each of us. Isn’t that what the world needs? The obvious understanding that God is real and living in us?

You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
2 Corinthians 3:2‭-‬3 NASB

🌹Friend, let us be Christ to one another so we can shine Jesus to the world.

The Church

They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.            Acts 2:42 NASB

And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.               Acts 2:43‭-‬47 NASB

[  ] They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

[  ] And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common;

[  ] sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.

[  ] Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple,

[  ] breaking bread from house to house,

[  ] they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,

[  ] praising God

[  ] having favor with all the people.

🌹 Is this what the church looks like today? Are we the Family of God? Are we one body, the Body of Christ? Is this why salvation of souls is diminishing?

And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.

By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”      John 13:35 NASB

🌹 How can you make a difference?
