Obedient Amazement

When He (Jesus) had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.” Simon answered and said, “Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but I will do as You say and let down the nets.” Luke‬ ‭5:4‭-‬5‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

We can sure get stuck in our ways and think we know best, especially at things we do all the time. But when God steps in we need to listen and obey. Obedience to God’s direction and walking in His will and way brings blessings for ourself that overflows to others.

When they had done this, they enclosed a great quantity of fish, and their nets began to break; so they signaled to their partners in the other boat for them to come and help them. And they came and filled both of the boats so that they began to sink. Luke‬ ‭5:6‭-‬7‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

God will also reveal His glory to us if we watch in anticipation.

When you truly know God and the works of His hands, it is hard to keep quiet. God, give us opportunity to make You known to others that they may know the glory of Your kingdom and Your power.

Godliness Brings Persecution

Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

‭‭It is not a matter of whether you will be persecuted, but when, if you are living a godly life.
Jesus, who led the perfect godly life,  was persecuted. . .

Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

Have you been there? Persecuted? Then rejoice!

And remember . . .

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

What a way to close out a month of thanksgiving. Thank you for taking this journey with me and for those who shared their thankfulness, thank you for those blessings.
I hope you will continue to bring glory and praise to God through thanksgiving everyday of your life.

Continue on with a thankful heart. It will be great practice for eternity, worshipping our God.

This verse brings to mind that glorious day when all the saved in Christ will be gathered up from among many nations to see our glorious Lord before us. Our hearts will be overjoyed with so much thanksgiving that we will not be able to contain our praise and glory in His holy name! Are you ready? Thank God for the promise to come in Jesus’s return.

You are, because God created you. He created you for a purpose. To know God, to serve Him, to glorify Him in word and deed with a thankful heart. A  thankful heart makes for a successful purpose. Thankful for God in you, moving you to do His work, to bring about His plan for humanity.

Are you thankful for God’s work and purpose through you to bring about His way, His truth, His life to a dying world?

Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

God Is Awesome!
