Temple Dwelling

Okay, I could be stretching this a bit but. . .
Are we who confess Jesus as the risen Messiah, the temple of the Holy Spirit? Is not the Holy Spirit God?

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?
1 Corinthians 6:19 NASB

We have the glory of God residing in us and yet we walk around with glum faces, walking as if we are lost, stressed to the max . . . need I go on?

If this is our demeanor then we should ask, as David did:

One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty (delightfulness) of the Lord And to meditate (inquire) in His temple.
Psalms 27:4 NASB

With salvation comes our eternal abiding with our God. Are we seeking to dwell with the Lord in our very being? Do we delight in the Lord God and seek the Word as we meditate on the word?

For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
1 Corinthians 6:20 NASB

🌹O Lord, I love the habitation of Your house And the place where Your glory dwells.
Psalms 26:8 NASB

God bless your day and weekend!

We Pray

Why do we pray?

We pray for others that they maybe filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
Colossians 1:9 NASB
We pray to be transformed through God’s righteous judgment so that we will be considered worthy of the kingdom of God.
2 Thessalonians 1:5 NASB
And we pray that Jesus will be glorified in and through us according to the grace given us through Jesus.
2 Thessalonians 1:12 NASB

We pray so God will be forefront in our mind, heart, soul, and walk. We pray so we can see His will be done.

🌹To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 1:11‭-‬12 NASB

Shelter

On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.
Psalms 62:7 NASB

The Lord gives grace and glory. He is our shelter where we can run and feel safe. He is our rock of strength to face the trials, hurts, stress, tribulations, sufferings of this world. On God alone our salvation and glory rest.

Where, or should I say, Who do you run to in these times?

🌹For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
Psalms 84:11 NASB

Show Me Your Glory!

Then Moses said, β€œI pray You, show me Your glory!”
Exodus 33:18 NASB

One of my all time favorite verses. Show me Your glory, Lord God! Moses saw a glimpse of God’s glory. I’m looking forward to the day when I will see the full glory of my Lord face to face.

But can we see God’s glory, a glimpse, today? In this day and age? I believe we can.

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, β€˜From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ ” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
John 7:38-39 NASB

The rivers of living water is the Holy Spirit working in the believer, the child of God. The work of the Holy Spirit through the believer allows the believer to see the glory of God.
God shows His glory through answered prayer, or the Sonshine in the midst of the storm, or the light of salvation in the eye of a new believer or the healing of  physical or emotional hurt. . . The list goes on. How long has it been since you saw the glory of God? When was the last time, if ever, did you pray to God asking, “Show me your glory”?

πŸŒΉβ€œI pray You, show me Your glory!” Amen.

Glorify God

For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
1 Corinthians 6:20 NASB

God, how do I glorify You in my body? By Your mercies I present my body a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to You, which is my spiritual service of worship. I pray that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Jesus Christ will be exalted in my body. This is my earnest expectation and hope. I pray You will keep me from presenting the members of my body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but help me to present myself to You, God, as alive from the dead, and my members as instruments of righteousness to You. Glory to Your name I pray, amen.
Romans 12:1/Philippians 1:20/Romans 6:13 NASB

🌹Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.
Hebrews 13:15 NASB

Glory

How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?
John 5:44 NASB

Where does glory come from? I believe there is but one source. God Himself. Worthy of honor, praise, because no one, NO ONE can compare to the attributes of God. If there is anything of glory in us it comes from God.
Even Jesus stated “I do not receive glory from men;” β€œIf I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me,”.

I know I struggle with this and maybe you do too. One of my love languages is adoration and I sometimes, a lot, seek the approval of men rather than the approval of God. It’s a fine line but it comes down to the fact that anything gloified in me is not me but God in me! For it is not he who commends himself that is approved, but he whom the Lord commends. So let us strive to give any glory given to us back to God from whom it originates.
John 5:41/John 8:54/John 12:43/2 Corinthians 10:18 NASB

🌹Then the glory of the Lord went up from the cherub to the threshold of the temple, and the temple was filled with the cloud and the court was filled with the brightness of the glory of the Lord.
Ezekiel 10:4 NASB
🌹Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
1 Timothy 1:17 NASB

Philippians 3:20-21

For our citizenship (commonwealth) is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform (our lowly body) the body of our humble state into conformity with (His glorious body) the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.
Philippians 3:20‭-‬21 NASB

I praise You, Lord Jesus Christ, Savior, who has the power to transform my lowly body
into conformity with Your glorious body. I surrender to Your yoke of power over me. Thank You for opening the door of opportunity to partake in Your household, no longer a stranger or alien, but a fellow citizen with the saints. God, I pray for Your church, that we willΒ conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, standing firm in one spirit, with one mind,Β striving together for the faith of the gospel.
Father God, I will keep seeking the things above, where Christ is seated at Your right hand, because I have been raised up with Christ who died for me.
For just as IΒ have borne the image of the earthy, I will also bear the image of the heavenly, for I know Your word says, “that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable”. But God You also promised thatΒ in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. Hallelujah to the King! For You I eagerly wait Lord Jesus. Amen.
Ephesians 2:19/Philippians 1:27/Colossians 3:1/1 Corinthians 15:49‭-‬50/1 Corinthians 15:52‭-‬53 NASB

🌹When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

Shine

Since that time no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,
Deuteronomy 34:10 NASB

Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend.
Exodus 33:11a NASB

It came about when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the testimony were in Moses’ hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him.

So when Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him. the sons of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone. So Moses would replace the veil over his face until he went in to speak with Him.
Exodus 34:29‭-‬30‭, ‬35 NASB

For God, who said, β€œLight shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:6 NASB

Does your light shine in the darkness?
Does Jesus shine in your heart from having  spent time with Him? Does your heart give the Light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus so others see?

🌹Time spent in prayer and reading the Bible, God’s Holy Word, is never wasted.

God, shine Your Light in and through me that others may see Your glory and come to the knowledge of You. Amen.

Promise to Disclose

He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”
John 14:21 NASB

I love those who love me (wisdom); And those who diligently seek me will find me.
Proverbs 8:17 NASB

The Lord said to Moses, β€œI will also do this thing of which you have spoken; for you have found favor in My sight and I have known you by name.” Then Moses said, β€œI pray You, show me Your glory!”
Exodus 33:17‭-‬18 NASB

Jesus *said to her, β€œDid I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
John 11:40 NASB

disclose: to make known, reveal or uncover

🌹Is God disclosing Himself to you?

Jesus, I desire to see Your glory, for You to reveal Yourself to me. I love You, Lord God and through Your word I diligently seek You and Your wisdom. I long to be obedient to Your commandments out of reverence for You. Would You show me Your glory? Will you disclose Yourself to me? If I have found favor in Your sight my Lord God, I believe You will show Your glory to me.
In Jesus name and for His glory, amen.

Friday’s Praise: The King

And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, β€œTo Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.”
Revelation 5:13 NASB

🌹Prayer:

Yours, OΒ Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, OΒ Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
