For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:20 NASB
God, how do I glorify You in my body? By Your mercies I present my body a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to You, which is my spiritual service of worship. I pray that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Jesus Christ will be exalted in my body. This is my earnest expectation and hope. I pray You will keep me from presenting the members of my body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but help me to present myself to You, God, as alive from the dead, and my members as instruments of righteousness to You. Glory to Your name I pray, amen. Romans 12:1/Philippians 1:20/Romans 6:13 NASB
🌹Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. Hebrews 13:15 NASB
Be glad in the Lord, you righteous ones, And give thanks to His holy name. Psalms 97:12 NASB
Sing praise to the Lord, you His godly ones, And give thanks to His holy name. Psalms 30:4 NASB
🌹It is good to give thanks to You, our Lord and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; I will give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and will glorify Your name forever. For I proclaim Your name, O Lord; I will ascribe greatness to You, God! You are The Rock! Your work is perfect, for all Your ways are just; a God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright are You. In You I will give thanks to Your Holy name. Amen Psalms 92:1/Psalms 86:12/Deuteronomy 32:3-4 NASB
Have you ever experienced, truly experienced the joy of the Lord? I’m not taking about when things are going well in your life and you rejoice and are thankful to God; but when you are in the midst of turmoil and nothing is going right and you have a joy beyond explanation. Your heart is overflowing with love for the Lord. When you can’t contain it and your face shows it. Your mouth is opened with praise and song to THE awesome God of all. When your eyes see only Jesus and His abundant love for you.
David wrote in time of fear as He fled from King Saul. He looked to his God.
My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises! Awake, my glory! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations. For Your lovingkindness is great to the heavens And Your truth to the clouds. Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth. Psalms 57:7-11 NASB
Sing to the Lord, all the earth; Proclaim good news of His salvation from day to day. Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples. For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; He also is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before Him, Strength and joy are in His place. Ascribe to the Lord, you families of the peoples, Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him; Worship the Lord in holy attire. 1 Chronicles 16:23-29 NASB
🌹Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His faithfulness is everlasting. Then say, “Save us, God of our salvation, And gather us and save us from the nations, To give thanks to Your holy name, And glory in Your praise.” 1 Chronicles 16:34-35 NASB
