Philippians 1:18b-20

Yes, and I will rejoice, for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance  (salvation) through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
Philippians 1:18b-‬20 NASB

Sovereign God, I rejoice in knowing that through the prayers of Your saints and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ in me that I will not be put to shame in anything. The provision of the Spirit, is that He is in control for allowing or restraining my efforts, my way, my path in life. My great expectation and hope does not disappoint, because Your love, God, has been poured out within my heart through the Holy Spirit who was given to me. If I should suffer as a Christian, I will not be ashamed, but with all boldness, glorify You, Father, in the name of Jesus. For I have been bought with a price: therefore Christ will, even in persecution, be exalted and glorified in my body whether by life or by death. My hope of seeing Your glory gives me boldness to speak of Your glory. Amen.
Romans 5:5/1 Peter 4:16/1 Corinthians 6:20/2 Corinthians 3:12 NASB

🌹for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.
Romans 14:8‭-‬9 NASB

In Whose Hand is Life

that they (all mankind) would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’
Acts 17:27‭-‬28 NASB

In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?
Job 12:10 NASB

For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as is the Lord our God whenever we call on Him?
Deuteronomy 4:7 NASB

Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.”
Acts 17:30‭-‬31 NASB

🌹 Call upon the Lord God with a repentant heart. Seek His face. In Him is life.

Abundant Mercy

“Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters;
Isaiah 55:1a NASB

“Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, According to the faithful mercies shown to David.
Isaiah 55:3 NASB

Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 55:6‭-‬7 NASB

God of abundance. Abundant mercy to still be reaching down, calling our hearts back to Him. Abundant mercy He desires to pour out on His children.

Now is the time to seek the Lord, while He may be found. Today may be the day when time runs out for you. Don’t delay. Come experience God’s abundant love, grace and mercy.

🌹 Praise God for His abundant mercy. Who do you know that needs to hear?

Groping

and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, 27 that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’ — Acts 17:26-28

The word “grope” stood out to me, jumped right off the screen (page). It is defined in Word Origin & History* as “O.E. grapian “to feel about as one blind or in darkness,” originally “to feel or handle,” related to gripan “grasp at” (see gripe)”.* Groping, as one blind or in darkness. Isn’t that our state of being without Jesus?

God, our Creator, made from one man (Adam) every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth. I think God has definitely accomplished that. How amazing when you think about it. Lands that had never been explored are now inhabited. From two there are now approximately seven billion people on earth. And it blows my mind when I read that He has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lives. All seven billion! I have trouble just making sure I am at my appointed place in a day. God is amazing!

What does He desire of us? To seek Him. But not just seek, grope. I imagine a desperation there. Darkness all around and having no direction, no sight. Many walk daily in this condition. God wants so much to give us sight and light to see Him clearly. To find Him. For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as is the Lord our God whenever we call on Him? (Deuteronomy 4:7) In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind? (Job 12:10)

God desires to give us abundant life through Jesus Christ. A life that is truly blessed, fulfilling, and amazing for in Him we live and move and exist. Do you want to truly live? Seek Jesus now while He may be found.

Continually seeking Him,

Sharon

A Good Minister

bible-study-group-6010

For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer. If you explain these things to the brothers and sisters, Timothy, you will be a worthy servant of Christ Jesus, one who is nourished by the message of faith and the good teaching you have followed. Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives’ tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly. — 1 Timothy 4:4-7

What makes a good minister (servant, one who acts upon the authority of another)? One who explains to the brothers and sisters of the word of God and prayer. If you do this you will be a worthy servant of Christ Jesus. You are one who is nourished by the message of faith and the teaching you have followed. Train yourself to be godly. Practice being like Christ.

Disciple as Jesus discipled. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed. — 1 Timothy 6:18-19

Life is all about who we are in Jesus. Life is whatever we do, doing it all to the glory of God.

Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. — 1 Corinthians 10:31

Let us seek Him through the Word and prayer so that we are affective for the kingdom of God, bring glory to His name, and enrich our lives because we live every moment for our Lord.

Continually seeking Him,
