Peace

And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. — James 3:18

And the work of righteousness will be peace,
And the service of righteousness,  quietness and confidence forever. — Isaiah 32:17

Sow with a view to righteousness,
Reap in accordance with kindness;
Break up your fallow ground,
For it is time to seek the Lord
Until He comes to rain righteousness on you. — Hosea 10:12

having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. — Philippians 1:11

Peace comes through Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Seek Him and His righteousness will be your peace. That peace sows peace.

God, Worthy

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor? Or who has first given to Him that it might be paid back to him again For  from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen. — Romans 11:33-36

Is this the God you worship? Worship in humble reverence? The One and Only worthy of our worship? TO HIM BE THE GLORY FOREVER!!!!!!!!

Blameless

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. — Jude 1:24-25

Seek Him now so that you may stand in the presence of His glory blameless. Oh what a beautiful sight that will be and we will experience great joy like never before!!!

Do You?

I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart;
I will tell of all Your wonders. — Psalm 9:1

How about you? What are you thankful for? Tell me and others of God’s wonder in your life. Are you aware of His wonder? (Be thankful and you will).

Uneducated?

Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus. — Acts 4:13

Were they really uneducated or was that in the perspective of the religious leaders? They had not been schooled by the religious leaders of the day but they were educated by the Master. Are you being educated by the Master, Jesus Christ? Are you recognized as having been with Jesus? Do you have confidence that only comes from time spent with the Savior?

I truly believe my confidence comes from time spent with Jesus who opens my eyes to the work He is doing in me and others. When I see all His glorious works, well, I am just like Peter and John:

for we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.” — Acts 4:20

Have a blessed day in the Lord and tell of His saving grace with confidence.

The Lord Is

The Lord is righteous in all His ways
And kind in all His deeds.
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He will also hear their cry and will save them.
The Lord keeps all who love Him,
But all the wicked He will destroy.
My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord,
And all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever. — Psalm 145:17-21

“Let” Brings About “That” In You

May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers; may He not leave us or forsake us, that He may incline our hearts to Himself, to walk in all His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His ordinances, which He commanded our fathers. And may these words of mine, with which I have made supplication before the Lord, be near to the Lord our God day and night, that He may maintain the cause of His servant and the cause of His people Israel, as each day requires, so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God; there is no one else. Let your heart therefore be wholly devoted to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments, as at this day.” — 1 Kings 8:57-61

The standout verses that spoke to me this morning:

that He may incline our hearts to Himself, to walk in all His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His ordinances,

that He may maintain the cause of His servant and the cause of His people Israel

that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God; there is no one else.

Did you notice that it says “that He may”? God is the ruler and it is by His power and ability, and His alone, that His plans will be fulfilled, “that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God; there is no one else”.

So how do we fit into His plan?

Let your heart therefore be wholly devoted to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments, as at this day.

Let: allow or permit. Such a little word that makes a huge impact for God. Keep seeking Him and let Him do a work in and through you.

PrAiSe!!!!

I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. — Psalm 104:33

That is quite a commitment. Are you willing to praise the only One truly worthy of our praise?

Useful

who formerly was useless to you, but now is useful both to you and to me. — Philemon 1:11

Has the wonderful salvation you received from Jesus, the sacrificial Lamb, changed you? Are you useful to God and His kingdom? Have you really received salvation? Are you sure that you know Him who makes you useful for Him? Check out your life. Are you useful?

Hugs

For I have come to have much joy and comfort in your love, because the  hearts of the saints have been  refreshed through you, brother. — Philemon 1:7

I’ll start out by saying that I am a huggy person. My children are very aware that hugs are mandatory when you walk in the door and when you leave (a few during the visit doesn’t hurt either). I love that I work at a Christian entity and get to give and receive hugs from co-workers. A hug to me is encouragement, acceptance, love and honoring.

My parents church, that I had the privilege of attending for 21 months, was that kind of church. Sunday mornings I was fueled up for the week. When we were visited at home hugs were plentiful.

The idea of this to me is that family hugs one another. Along with those hugs comes genuine concern for another, taking time to listen, sending cards or emails to say, “Hey, I care and was thinking of you today and said a prayer.” Connecting. Making a difference in someone’s life.

To me a hug is not just a hug. It is so much more. Is your church just a gathering of people or are you family? Is your love for the saints refreshing them? Do they know the love of the Lord and being refreshed by you?

This verse just brought this to mind today and I’m sure has nothing to do with hugs specifically, but are the saints in your life experiencing the outpouring of God’s love from you?

Sharon
