You Are My Everything

I am nothing without You.
You are . . .

My Justice
My Eternity
My Savior
My Unity
My Sustainer

My Compassion
My Holiness
My Righteousness
My Inspiration
My Shepherd
My Truth

None of these do I possess but by Your love and righteousness.

Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.
John 5:19 NASB

I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
John 15:5 NASB

If this man were not from God, He could do nothing.”
John 9:33 NASB

His Eternal Covenant

“Thus says the Lord , ‘If you can break My covenant for the day and My covenant for the night, so that day and night will not be at their appointed time, then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant so that he will not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers.”
Jeremiah 33:20-‬21 NASB

What a promise! Thank God we can’t change night and day. We would be foolish enough to try. Just as we can’t change God. He is the same today, tomorrow and forever. Thank God for His Son, Jesus, who reigns forever.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 NASB

ūüĆĻ Thank God for His new covenant in Christ.

Foundation

“Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when a flood occurred, the torrent burst against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. Luke 6:46‚Ä≠-‚Ĩ48 NASB

How are you holding up? All of us face challenges, tribulations, disappointments at sometime along the journey of life. What is your foundation built upon? Is it strong enough to face the floods and storms of life? We call out to the Lord but are we standing on his word? Do we seek him every day? Are we building on the foundation that is laid in Jesus Christ?

Obedience to the word of God is the building on the foundation of Jesus Christ. If you are not obeying then you are not building and your foundation slips away and is weak. To be obedient, we must be reading, believing and obeying the word of God.

ūüĆĻStand strong in the Word of God built on the foundation of Jesus Christ.

Peace

And the¬†seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace¬†by those who make peace. — James 3:18

And the work of righteousness will be peace,
And the service of righteousness,¬† quietness and¬†confidence forever. — Isaiah 32:17

Sow with a view to righteousness,
Reap in accordance with kindness;
Break up your fallow ground,
For it is time to seek the Lord
Until He¬†comes to¬†rain righteousness on you. — Hosea 10:12

having been filled with the¬†fruit of righteousness which¬†comes¬†through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. — Philippians 1:11

Peace comes through Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Seek Him and His righteousness will be your peace. That peace sows peace.

Uneducated?

Now as they observed the¬†confidence of¬†Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and¬†began¬†to recognize them¬†as having been with Jesus. — Acts 4:13

Were they really uneducated or was that in the perspective of the religious leaders? They had not been schooled by the religious leaders of the day but they were educated by the Master. Are you being educated by the Master, Jesus Christ? Are you recognized as having been with Jesus? Do you have confidence that only comes from time spent with the Savior?

I truly believe my confidence comes from time spent with Jesus who opens my eyes to the work He is doing in me and others. When I see all His glorious works, well, I am just like Peter and John:

for¬†we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.‚ÄĚ — Acts 4:20

Have a blessed day in the Lord and tell of His saving grace with confidence.

My Father’s House

And He said to them,¬†‚ÄúWhy is it that you were looking for Me? Did you not know that¬†I had to be in My Father‚Äôs¬† house?‚ÄĚ — Luke 2:49

Here is your reason to be in church. Are you a Christian (follower of Jesus Christ)? Jesus “had to be in” His “Father’s house”. Follow Him to His (and your) Father’s house.

Praise and worship Him today!!!

Problem With The World

First of all, then, I urge that entreaties¬†and¬†prayers, petitions¬† and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men,¬†for kings and all who are in¬†authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and¬†dignity.¬†This is good and acceptable in the sight of¬†God our Savior,¬†who desires all men to be saved and to¬†come to the¬†knowledge of the truth.¬†— 1 Timothy 2:1-3

Yesterday’s devotional spoke of obeying, submitting authority to our leaders — politicians of our country. It told of the grumbling and verbal dissatisfaction we have with them. My question is (actually two) — Am I praying for my leaders? Am I being a good witness before men in my verbiage and actions toward the leaders of my country?

The problem with the world today is too much focus on what our world leaders are doing wrong instead of praying for them. The answer for a quiet and tranquil life? Jesus Christ. Salvation and knowledge of Him and in obedience He can change the condition of the hearts of world leaders, those in authority and even the hearts of those who vote.

The problem is not our politicians. The problem is we have left our first love and obedience to Him.

Consider Sufferings

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time¬†are not worthy to be compared with the¬†glory that is to be revealed to us. — Romans 8:18

Would that be a heavenly perspective? When I consider the sufferings of this world compared to being in the presence of God Almighty, it pales a little. When I consider that the suffering of this world only lasts a blink compared to eternity of being in the glory of God, I strive to endure.

The sufferings of this life are only temporary for those who know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. Life here and now is incomparable with the glory that is to be revealed to the children of God.

Are you suffering without hope? Is there no light at the end of your tunnel? Turn to Jesus who is the Light of the world and let Him give you a heavenly perspective as you seek Him.

“It”

for¬†it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the¬†Jew first and also to¬†the Greek. — Romans 1:16b

“It”. The gospel. “It”. Jesus Christ. “It”. Power.

Trust in “It” to save you by believing. Trust in “It” to save others by telling.
