I am truly thankful for Jesus, the Prince of peace. It was prophesied in Isaiah that He would come. And indeed He did to give peace to those who believe and trust in Him.

I am thankful for the Holy Spirit that was given to me on the day I professed Jesus as Lord. With the Holy Spirit residing in me I am able to experience and see the glory of God.

In EVERYTHING!!?!! Good days and BAD days? In trials and tribulations?
Yes, because we who are in Christ Jesus are being perfected each day. Our lives in tribulation; our hearts in the joy of the Lord! And yes because this is God’s will!

When things go awry – off the normal course, amiss – what is the typical response? Whatever the response I can guarantee that most responses will lack thankfulness.

What an awesome testimony to the confidence we have in God by being thankful. Giving thanks to our Lord God through it all. The good and the bad days of our lives.

This month of November I challenge you to make thankfulness your focus. Think of at least one thing each day of this month that you are thankful for. On November 30th look over your list and turn those thankful blessings into thankful praise to God!

Prayer. To go before the Lord in prayer is to trust that He will hear and answer. It takes faith to pray. It takes trust that God will answer. With answered prayer, it is with a thankful heart that we sing His praise!

Response to “Living Water”

“Living Water” from December 16, 2022 devotion, Isaiah 12:3 mentions drawing water from the springs of salvation. Today we look at the response of those who draw this “Living Water “.

And in that day you will say, “Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; Make them remember that (proclaim to them that) His name is exalted.” Praise the Lord in song, for He has done excellent things (gloriously); Let this be known throughout the earth.
Isaiah 12:4-5 NASB

Oh Lord, I give You thanks as I call upon Your name. Out of gratefulness for my salvation I will make known Your deeds among the peoples; proclaiming that Your name is exalted!! I pray one generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts. I pray men will speak of the power of Your awesome acts, and I will tell of Your greatness. I pray Your people will eagerly utter the memory of Your abundant goodness and will shout joyfully of Your righteousness. All Your works shall give thanks to You, O Lord, And Your godly ones shall bless You.
