Pray with Persistence

If the persistence is lacking we are probably asking for something we really don’t want or need.  Persistence in prayer may also be because God is preparing us for the answer. How often do we pray for something without really thinking about how the answer would affect our walk? Persistence so we are aligned with God’s will and purpose.

Pray Trusting

‭This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

Provisions Anxiety

Life can come with lots of anxiety. Worries about ourselves, our children, our livelihood, and multiple other things in life. But God says be anxious for NOTHING.

Why? How?

‭“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

At times it is good to look back at the milestones of your life. To see where God had you. The times when He blessed you, strengthened you, protected you, used you . . . What a magnificent God we have!! He gives us eternal life AND walks with us from day one. He hears our cries and steps in to help us as we intently, earnestly seek Him and His ways. God’s eyes are toward the righteous with His ears open to their cry.

I believe prayer is the best weapon of war. In prayer, our hearts are centered on God. In prayer, we seek God’s forgiveness, His way, His will, and we find quietness and trust. In quietness and trust, we gain strength. With the strength of God working in us, we confidently face opposition with righteousness and quietness; confident that He will and is fighting while we keep silent. Through prayer, our righteous actions will speak louder than words spoken in anger or resentment. The result will be peace.

Wait and Trust

This week and three days last week have been about searching Psalm 27.

Verse 14 sums it all up.
First of all, it is all about God.
God is He who we need to seek, to trust. It is through Him, and Him alone, that we can be strong against the forces of evil and are able to fill our heart with courage. But how is this attainable?

WAIT.
Wait for the Lord. . .Wait for the Lord.
Sandwiched between those two phrases is where our protection, our strength, our courage are found. Are you willing to wait on the Lord? Willing to trust Him?
