1 John 2:7-8

Beloved, I am not writing a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning; the old commandment is the word which you have heard. On the other hand, I am writing a new commandment to you, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true Light is already shining.

God, Your commandment of old to love one another has been a difficult task as evidenced in Your word. Division, war, deceit have separated Your people from one another and from You. The commandment to love one another diminished to the point of needing renewal mant times.
Now a new commandment has been given to love one another. A love demonstrated my Your Son, Jesus Christ. He was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. We all, Lord God, were formerly darkness, but now we, Your children, are Light in Jesus; because the darkness is passing away and the true Light is already shining!! God, I pray we walk as children of Light so the world will know we are Your disciples because of our love for one another. As we love one another by the love of Christ in us Jesus grows brighter and brighter and the darkness passes away. Help me to love as You love, Jesus, so Your Light shines to a dark and needy world. May Your love abound in me I pray, amen.

Holy, Holy, Holy art Thou, Lord God Almighty!!! Glory, honor and praise belong to You! You gave Your Word to inform, instruct, draw hearts to You. Thank You God for Your holy word! The word is made known along with understanding through You, Holy Spirit. Jesus, by Your example of keeping the Father’s commandments and abiding in His love, I know I need to keep Your word so as to abide in You. Help me daily to deny myself, take up my cross and follow You. I need You God as I cannot bear fruit apart from You. Jesus, I want to follow in Your footsteps, take Your yoke upon myself and continue to learn from You, for You are gentle and humble in heart, and I will find rest for my soul in You. Perfect Your love in me God by my keeping of Your word. All for Your glory I humbly ask. Amen.

The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;

Lord, draw me to true understanding of this verse today as I meditate on Your word. Reveal to me whether Your truth is in me and I know You or whether I am making You a liar.
There are many rebellious people, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of professing faith. They profess to know You, God, but by their deeds they deny You, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed. Forgive me for any deceiving way or disobedience in me. Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my thoughts; And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting. In the name of Jesus I ask and pray, amen.

My heart is overjoyed in abundant thankfulness for Your sacrifice Jesus. Because I want to know You deeply God, I will honor You by hiding Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You by being disobedient to Your commandments.
Jesus, just as You have shown obedience to the Father and abided in Him, I long to abide with You, God, by keeping Your commandments. Disclose Yourself to me Jesus as You have promised. Come and make Your abode in me Jesus with the Father. Bring honor to Yourself God through me to and for Your glory. Amen.

🌹God, You are a God of love and reconciliation. You displayed publicly before the eyes of the world, Jesus, as a life-giving sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation by His blood and all can receive this salvation through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness which demands punishment for sin. Therefore, Jesus had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. Thank You, God, for making a way, under the new covenant, so the perfection and sacrifice of Christ will cover (atone for) the imperfection and sin of those who identified with Him and accepted Him as Savior. Make my life worthy of the sacrifice You made on my behalf, Lord God, I pray. In Jesus name, amen.

God of the written word, Father of my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Honor and praise to You who sits upon the throne! You sent Jesus, the righteous, who is able to save forever all who draw near to You, God, through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for us.
There is but one God, and one mediator also between You O God and men, the man Christ Jesus, Your Son.
I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate me from Your love, God, which is in Christ Jesus my Lord.
The things that are written in Your holy Word are so my joy may be made complete. May I labor with Your children, thankful to be one, until Christ is formed in me.
Christ was risen and sits next to You most holy God, not entering a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in Your presence God on behalf of me. How can I not strive to be sinless and pleasing in Your sight, O God. Thank You, Jesus, for interceding on my behalf when I stumble and sin and not leaving me there but bringing me back to joy complete. To God be the glory for my Advocate, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer:
Jesus, Savior, Redeemer! Praise and glory to Your name!! You who purifies the souls of people for Your own possession, purify me for Your glory so as to be zealous for good deeds.
I acknowledge my sin to You, And my iniquity I do not hide. I will confess my transgressions to You, my Lord for You forgive the guilt of my sin. I will not conceal my transgressions for I want to prosper for Your kingdom purpose. Shower Your compassion upon me as I confess and forsake my sinful ways.
God, You are so faithful and righteous to forgive my sins and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Thank You Lord for Your compassion, forgiveness, and clothing me in Your righteousness! For this I am truly grateful. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.

If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

Holy, righteous, irreproachable, just God. You are worthy of reverent praise for You are sinless, matchless and a faithful God!
Who can say, “I have cleansed my heart, I am pure from my sin”? Certainly not I Lord. Forgive me for every time I think that I am able or the “one” who is without sin, self-righteous in my own eyes and yet deceiving myself. For it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one”. Cover me in the righteousness of my Savior who died for me so that I may walk in righteousness for His name sake. I have received His testimony and set my seal to this, that God is true. Your word is in me and I confess Your righteousness as the truth for all mankind. You are not a liar. Your word is truth! Hallelujah!! Amen.

If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

I once heard it said that doctors are not perfect and that is why they are in medical “practice”.
I can relate to that. I am not perfect so I only “practice” the truth of God. After all God does say, “They who practice truth comes to the Light”. And when we do, Hallelujah, our deeds are revealed as having been performed in God. Did you catch that little word “IN”? So let us, house of God, walk in the light of the Lord, in fellowship with one another, bringing glory to our God.

Thanks be to You, my God, who always leads in triumph in Christ, and manifests, through Your beloved people, the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Jesus in every place.
God, may I always testify in Your Holy Spirit the truth in Christ with an attitude in myself which was also in Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. O Lord my God, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty, Covering Yourself with light as with a cloak, Stretching out heaven like a tent curtain. My soul will bless You, Lord! God, You are Light in whom there is no darkness and no variation or shifting shadow. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from You, the Father of lights! Father, thank You for sending Jesus, the Light that dwelt amongst mankind. Direct me to walk in the light so darkness will not overtake me; for I know that the one who walks in darkness does not know where he goes. May I walk according to Your commandments until Your appearing, Lord Jesus Christ, who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To You be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.
