Glorious Joyful Praise

🙌 Shout joyfully to God, all the earth;
Sing the glory of His name; Make His praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will give feigned obedience to You.
All the earth will worship You, And will sing praises to You; They will sing praises to Your name.” Selah.

Dwell on What is True

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, . . .
Philippians 4:8a NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/php.4.8.NASB1995

“Whatever is true.” What is true? How do we assess what is true? I believe we need to look to the One who is true.

The Lord is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King. . .¹  There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.²  He who has received His testimony has set his seal to this, that God is true.³
Jeremiah 10:10/John 1:9/John 3:33 NASB1995

And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
1 John 5:20 NASB1995

🌹. . . if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

Who Are We Sowing For?

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.
Galatians 6:7 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/gal.6.7.NASB1995

1. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption,
but
2. The one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Galatians 6:8 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/gal.6.8.NASB1995

What are we sowing in our life?
What are we reaping for eternity?

🌹Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.

Christ in You & Me

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?
2 Corinthians 13:5 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/2co.13.5.NASB1995

Christ in you. Christ in me.
Do we take advantage of this treasure living in us? Jesus Christ moving in us to sanctify, strengthen our faith, molding us into His image for His glory and His purpose? Do we walk daily in His way? In His truth? Is our life surrendered, sacrificed for His purpose?

Salvation, believing faith in Jesus Christ, is so much more than saying a prayer. It is a call to sacrifice our life for His purpose.

🌹And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.

His Work is Perfect

The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.
Deuteronomy 32:4 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/deu.32.4.NASB1995

🙏God, Your law is perfect, restoring the soul. You have worked wonders, plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness. You are the author and perfector of faith. Righteous are You, O Lord, and upright are Your judgments. The Mighty One has done great things for me; And holy is Your name. Amen.
Psalm 19:7/Isaiah 25:1/Hebrews 12:2/Psalms 119:137/Luke 1:49 NASB1995

🌹In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety. Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; He also is to be feared above all gods.

🌹Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting. Then all the people said, “Amen,” and praised the Lord.

Where Do We Seek Answers?

“Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it, the Lord is His name, ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Jeremiah 33:2-3 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jer.33.2-3.NASB1995

Where is your first stop when you are seeking answers?

Is it the throne of grace where ‘THE GOD’ who has all the answers we could ever seek?

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:15-16 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/heb.4.15-16.NASB1995

You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jer.29.13.NASB1995

Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.
Isaiah 55:6 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.55.6.NASB1995

🌹Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

Born of God

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.
1 John 5:1 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/1jn.5.1.NASB1995

All things have come into being through Christ and apart from him, nothing came into being. By believing in Jesus, we are born of God. In Jesus is life. He is the Light of Mankind. Those who follow Him will not walk in darkness, but will have the Light of life.
John 1:3/John 1:4/John 8:12 NASB1995

Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me.
John 8:42 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jhn.8.42.NASB1995

🌹but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.
1 John 2:5-6 NASB1995

The Lord is My Defense

The Lord is the defense (refuge) of my life; Whom shall I dread
Psalms 27:1b NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.27.1.NASB1995

For You have been a defense for the helpless, A defense for the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of the ruthless Is like a rain storm against a wall.
Isaiah 25:4 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.25.4.NASB1995

🙏 For my eyes are toward You, O God, the Lord; In You I take refuge; do not leave me defenseless.
Psalms 141:8 NASB1995

The Lord is My Banner

The Amalekites and Israel are at war with one another. Joshua leads the Israelites into battle.
Moses, Aaron and Hur went up the hill overlooking the battlefield. Moses took the staff of God with him.
When Moses raised his hand up Israel prevailed. Eventually his hand grew heavy and the Amalekites would prevail. Moses grew weak so Aaron and Hur supported his hands. Working together, Moses’ hands were held up, the Israelites won the battle over the Amalekites.
Exodus 17:8-13

Moses built an altar and named it The Lord is My Banner;
Exodus 17:15 NASB1995
