The Alpha and The Omega

He (Jesus) is before (has existed prior to) all things, and in Him all things hold together (endure).
Colossians 1:17 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/col.1.17.NASB1995

Before there was an earth, other planets, people, animals, a garden, a flood, breath, life — Jesus existed. That is why He is the beginning and ultimately will be the end of all things as we know it. The Almighty!

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 1:8 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/rev.1.8.NASB1995

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
Revelation 22:13 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/rev.22.13.NASB1995

Jesus says,

Who is like Me? Let him proclaim and declare it; Yes, let him recount it to Me in order, From the time that I established the ancient nation. And let them declare to them the things that are coming And the events that are going to take place.
Isaiah 44:7 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.44.7.NASB1995

O Lord, there is none like You, nor is there any God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
1 Chronicles 17:20 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/1ch.17.20.NASB1995

Do you believe? Now is the time to confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life. He created you for a purpose. Jesus is offering eternal life without cost to you. Jesus already paid the price. Come. Drink. Live.

🌹Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.

Psalms 46:4-5 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.46.4.NASB1995

God, who is the fountain of life, lead me to the place where You dwell. Fill me with Your light. Fill me with Your truth. Fill me with streams of gladness and I will be glad in your presence. It is there where I am made strong and can face each new day.

How lovely are Your dwelling places, O Lord of hosts! My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.

I Was Lost

Literally, I was lost in the woods at Pomme de Terre Lake this past weekend.

Anyone who knows me well knows I love walking. And one of my favorite places to walk is out in God’s creation. I’m not the super adventurous type, I like gravel or concrete paths.

Despite being lost I was blessed with new life all around – trees, flowers, nesting birds. Experienced a flight of geese taking off from a pond, small and large droplets of water spurting everywhere. I came across the largest blackbirds I had ever seen. I was hoping they were nice as they filled the path I was taking. When they flew you could hear the whooshing of their wings loud and clear. I prayed God would handle them for me and I made it safely through.

The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
Deuteronomy 31:8 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/deu.31.8.NASB1995

The idea of walking in God’s creation takes me back to God walking with Adam and Eve in the Garden. When I’m out in nature I walk with God. I talk with God. I sing praises to God. When I come out of the “garden” I’m a new person, refreshed and renewed.

This particular day I was totally enthralled with God and got lost. I came to a crossroad and stopped. I tried GPS to no avail. I prayed. Nothing looked familiar but as I looked down both paths the narrower one looked more inviting than the other wider path so I took the inviting one. As I walked I saw more familiar things like bridges and benches that I had not seen in quite awhile. I eventually saw buildings, not familiar but thought there must be people there. So I headed that direction. I found a paved road!!! Hallelujah!!!
I prayed again and here comes a truck with a young man in it. I flagged  him down, explained my dilemma and where I was parked. He knew where I was supposed to be and drove me back to my vehicle. It was probably a half mile away.

God promised ‭
I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.
Leviticus 26:12 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/lev.26.12.NASB1995

Back to the choice I made at the two paths. I listened and followed the Holy Spirit’s guiding. I chose the right road and I was saved.

Life has many roads to choose but the right one leads you to safety.

For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Matthew 7:14 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/mat.7.14.NASB1995

I was very grateful for the day God had given me.

I was lost, but now I’m found.
I trusted and believed God would save me and He did. To God be the glory.

🌹And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

Psalms 100:5 NASB1995‬

Are You A Child of God?

For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Romans 8:14 NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/rom.8.14.NASB1995‭‭

What a blessing to be called a child of God by simply receiving and believing in Jesus Christ.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
John 1:12 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/jhn.1.12.NASB1995

In believing we are sealed and receive the Holy Spirit of promise.

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
Ephesians 1:13 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/eph.1.13.NASB1995

What an awesome, spectacular, wonderful affirmation we receive – the Holy Spirit living in us and to know . . .

The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,
Romans 8:16 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/rom.8.16.NASB1995

There is only one way to be a child of God. Through faith in Jesus Christ.
My hope is, if you are reading this, that you can say you are a child of God.

🌹For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Is Your Seal Set?

“He (Jesus) who comes from above is above all, he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.
What He has seen and heard, of that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony.
He who has received His testimony has set his seal to this, that God is true.
For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure.
The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand.
He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
John 3:31-36 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/jhn.3.31-36.NASB1995

Have you set your seal to this, that God is true?
Is the Spirit working in and through you?
Do you believe?

🌹He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

Tested by Praise

The crucible is for silver and the furnace for gold, And each is tested by the praise accorded him.
Proverbs 27:21 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/pro.27.21.NASB1995

The crucible is a container used to liquify silver at a very high temperature. The same concept liquifies gold in a furnace. Our being tested is similiar, in that, in the heat of the moment the genuineness within us will appear.

God tests us that we may see the true intent of our heart.

You shall remember all the way which the Lord your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.
Deuteronomy 8:2 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/deu.8.2.NASB1995

Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you may not sin.”
Exodus 20:20 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/exo.20.20.NASB1995

How are your test scores?

When we are praised by others, are we humble? Do we thank the one who compliments us? Or do we puff up with pride?
As Proverbs 27:21 says, “each is tested by the praise accorded him.”

Examine me, O Lord, and try me; Test my mind and my heart.
Psalms 26:2 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.26.2.NASB1995

🌹And I will bring the third part through the fire, Refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are My people,’ And they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’ ”

Live For the Glory of God

Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

1 Thessalonians 2:4 NASB1995‬

Mark 15:37 NASB1995‬

John 19:30 NASB1995‬

The above verses are four accounts of the death of Jesus Christ. Jesus fulfilled the Father’s plan. Jesus accomplished the work He was sent to do out of love and obedience to God, the Father.

John 4:34 NASB1995‬

HE HAS RISEN, so

. . . do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
Romans 6:13 NASB1995‬

Ezekiel 17:8 NASB1995‬

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
