Good News For All People

And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger (feeding trough), because there was no room for them in the inn.

In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened.

🌹But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;

Mother Mary (Luke 1-2:22)

And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord.”

And Mary said: “My soul exalts the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has had regard for the humble state of His bondslave; For behold, from this time on all generations will count me blessed.
Luke 1:45-48 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/luk.1.45-48.NASB1995

Mary. The Mother of Jesus. Just an ordinary girl chosen by God to fulfill God’s redemptive plan. She humbly took on this role of Mother to Jesus.

The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.”
Luke 1:30-33 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/luk.1.30-33.NASB1995

Mary rejoiced at the birth of her son. She treasured the years she had raising Him.

Mary knew Jesus came for a purpose and faced the death of her firstborn son. Being a mother is hard work but . . .

By One Man

As Resurrection Sunday approaches, the Scriptures can prepare our heart as we reflect on what a tremendous impact this event has on all mankind.

For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead.
1 Corinthians 15:21 NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/1co.15.21.NASB1995

Sin entered the world in the Garden of Eden through the disobedience of one man. It continues to be a threat to mankind today.
‭‭
Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.
James 1:15 NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/jas.1.15.NASB1995

‭‭Sin brings about death. Eternal, forever dying death.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23 NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/rom.6.23.NASB1995

But God. . . !!!

Jesus came as a man to earth. Through Him, this one man, comes eternal life for all who believe.

Do you believe?

Restoration & Salvation

And now says the Lord, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, To bring Jacob back to Him, so that Israel might be gathered to Him (For I am honored in the sight of the Lord, And My God is My strength), He says, “It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also make You a light of the nations So that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”
Isaiah‬ ‭49:5‭-‬6‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.49.5.NASB1995

There is much to celebrate in the birth of Jesus Christ. He was born to restore Israel back to their God and be a Light to the rest of the world for their salvation. What a wonderful gift the Father bestowed upon the world that first Christmas.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

A Child Will Be Born

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
Isaiah‬ ‭9:6‬a ‭NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.9.6.NASB1995

Isaiah, a prophet of the Old Testament, spoke of a coming child. A child who would be born, but not just any child. . .
‭
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.
Isaiah‬ ‭7:14‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.7.14.NASB1995

A child born of a virgin. A child who would be Immanuel, God with us!!

It was even revealed to Isaiah the geneology of this child and what attributes this child would have.
‭‭
Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his roots will bear fruit.
The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
Isaiah‬ ‭11:1‭-‬2‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.11.1.NASB1995
‭‭
This is a child worthy of following and aspiring to be like.

For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.
Isaiah‬ ‭53:2‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.53.2.NASB1995

Humble and plain. And yet, majestic, worthy of praise, worship, devotion, and our love and attention.

‭‭🌹for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Luke‬ ‭2:11‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

I pray your Christmas Season is filled with praise for and to Jesus, who stepped out of heaven to come as a baby into this world to save it. God bless your Christmas Season.
