The world, and those who dwell in it. 2 For He has founded it upon the seas And established it upon the rivers. 3 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? And who may stand in His holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood And has not sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive a blessing from the Lord And righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6 This is the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face—even Jacob. Selah. — Psalm 24:1-6
Do we have a generation of seekers alive today? Who are those of the generation who seek Him, who seek His face?
Could it be those who dwell upon the earth knowing that the Lord is the Creator of the earth and all that it contains? Those who believe the world and they themselves belong to God? Could that person or persons have clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted their souls to falsehood nor sworn deceitfully and been blessed? Are you that person who has received righteousness from the God of your salvation and been granted entry into the Lord’s holy presence? Do you seek Him?
We need a generation that Seeks the Lord and His strength; that seeks His face continually. (Psalm 105:4) Are you a part of that generation?
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! 2 I will praise the Lord while I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. 3 Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation. 4 His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; In that very day his thoughts perish. 5 How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the Lord his God, 6 Who made heaven and earth, The sea and all that is in them; Who keeps faith forever; 7 Who executes justice for the oppressed; Who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free.
8 The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises up those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous; 9 The Lord protects the strangers; He supports the fatherless and the widow, But He thwarts the way of the wicked. 10 The Lord will reign forever, Your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the Lord! — Psalm 146
I will sing of the lovingkindness of the Lord forever; To all generations I will make known Your faithfulness with my mouth. 26 “He will cry to Me, ‘You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.’ — Psalms 89:1, 26
“To all generations I will make known Your faithfulness with my mouth.” Is this the legacy you are leaving behind? Will you be remembered for sharing the Lord’s faithfulness to you? Are you crying out to God, “You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation”? Do others know that God is your Father, God and Rock? Will Jesus be exalted and remembered by the life you leave behind?
Make a difference. Know God intimately and He will establish your legacy.
